Some people dont know how lucky they are to have a job i work there its not that bad free health care, car schemes, decent pay and pension

Very good company soon to close in Sunderland. No idea why they even opened here.

I was chief referee at a karate competition held at Nissan sports centre Sunday 27/11/2016.

The hospitality and level of attention to detail was exemplary.

Absoloute he'll hole, if you lost a leg you would have to prove you can't work to the company doctor. The place gives you nightmares, the gaffas treat you like scum and unless your telling tales on the lads you get nowhere. You to regularily think about jumping in front of cars to get Time of work. The only good thing this hellhole has don for me is make me strive hard so none of my children will work there, if its the last thing I'll ever do

This is an enormous manufacturing plant employing 1000's of workers and has it's own ecosystem of supplier surround it. I was lucky enough to work here for a short while and was given a guided tour around the factory and it has some amazing technology. A car leaves the production line every few seconds!

As an ex employee of Nissan, it's a great secure place to work. Massive emphasis on quality, cost, delivery and safety. Probably the best place to work in the northeast.

As an ex employee I can say the plant here in Sunderland is great at keeping quality standards. Care is taken on the assembly line to make sure each car that comes out of the factory is done to standards set in design brief. Some supplied parts from other supplier can improve in quality though.

I was there from 1995-2005. Unfortunately a dreadful place to work if your stuck working on the manufacturing line. Not allowed to go to the toilet because no one to do your job, team leaders would come turn off your help lamp, and walk off, leaving you an hour into the session bursting for the toilet, with at least an other hour to go, bending or climbing into the car, seemingly going to the toilet is a PRIVILEGE and not a necessity. Dont dare to ever get sick!!!, after being questioned over the phone by your supervisor, then him telling you that you must come to work to see the nurse/doctor, to see if they think you really are ill. You get there, just to be told by the nurse to go home....BECAUSE YOUR ILL. I started having what was known amongst the people I worked with....the Nissan nightmare...when I went to sleep, I would dream I was down the line and couldnt get back up to my position. When I mentioned it at work they all just laughed...everyone had the same nightmare, I STILL GET IT, I wake sometimes and I am thankful its only a dream now. HORRIBLE!!!!
