Nice cup of take away coffee, nice sausage sandwich. Quality meat counter. Will return after covid to get the full experience.

a little local gem, great little place for children and parents

The play area is suitable for toddlers, probably not enough room for older preachers to dash around. Food is always good and the butchers is a bonus too.

We love Nixon's farm. Staff are so very friendly and the produce in the farm shop is of exceptional quality. We've just had what was probably the nicest fillet steak ever for our Valentine's day tea. Thankyou Nixon's.

Not a fan. They use sainburys basic bread. I dont go out to pay over the odds for food worse than what I have at home. Cake selection was okay. Service a bit haphazard you have to stand at the till which is also the bottle neck of the two dining rooms.

Good meat shop and kids love the animal zone. Not used the cafe yet but looks and smells good

Special thanks to Julie and her team. We hired the Hay Loft on a Saturday morning for Dad's 60th birthday. Julie and her team kindly arranged for there to be a brunch arranged with hot/cold food served. The food was exceptional. The Hay Loft is exquisite with a lovely log burner, wooden beams, plenty of space (there were 26 of us) and some comfy armchairs too. The waitresses were excellent, really impressed with them. All-in-all, the event couldn't have gone better, thanks to Julie and her team at the Moody Cow Cafe. Would fully recommend the hiring of the Hay Loft to anyone looking to plan an event!

Always loved the meat for many years from here! Now it has a lot more to offer, and a bonus at present, you can have a covid safe cuppa! Well worth a visit.

Good all day breakfast with good quality ingredients. Good service.
A new covered outdoor area is v useful and allows more spaced out seating.
I hope the management cover the new enclosure more or add heaters for winter?
A good local business that I relish supporting!

Visited today for a birthday party and also visited the farm shop my husband bought a t bone steak, he cooked it on the bbq and it just melted in your mouth, gorgeous

Fresh farm produce, cafe with child's play area (inside and outside).

Fantastic place, we have been going there for years and it just keeps improving. Currently the fantastic play area is closed due to COVID-19, but there is a lovely Covid secure Cafe with outdoor undercover seating, a farm shop, gardening gifts for sale, pets corner and animals. Lovely place to take your children.

Lovely outdoor play area with shelter also. Bouncy castles inside and out. Contained areas inside also with indoor football pitch, sand pit, ride on area and home area with building toys. Something for all of the children. Plenty of tables and chairs to sit down at. Food available to buy on site as well as a butchers and farm shop.

Lovely friendly place. Indoor bouncy castle so children can play while you have a coffee. Lovely freshly cooked breakfast. Do a slimming world one too.
It has recently expanded so more tables and more space for wheelchair or pram.

The meat is first class quality as is the service and the meat is a competitive price. I have just ordered my Christmas turkey from them as I have done for many years now and I have never been disappointed with its quality. There are other this there like animals and birds you can take the children to see and in normal times there is a cafe and a play area for the children . It really is a lovely place .

Good range of fresh meats, also many other items. Cooking sauces (white sauce etc.) Are good value. Excellent for children in cafe play space.

This is exactly the type of place I've been searching for since moving to the area. All other 'butchers' I've been to around here don't stock the cuts of meat I'm usually after...bone in pork shoulders and beef ribs or they are overly More

Lovely little cafe. The food is really good. Not too expensive and they serve a range of different coffees. There's an area in which you can go see some of the animals and purchase rabbits etc. There is also a butchers and a farm shop and a inside play area which is free and brilliant to take children to.

Lovely little cafe, delicious homemade burgers, chips, salad - very substantial. Slightly surprised dogs are allowed inside the eating area, not that we don't love them, just with hygiene, food, rules etc, wasn't sure if right or not? Great choice of fresh meat from the on Farm Butchers, expensive but worth it. Nice play area for younger children indoors & out, lots to keep them occupied!

What a fantastic selection of local produce. Burgers, sausages, ground beef, eggs, can't fault any of it! Forget the high street stuff. Support your local farm shop :)

Have been travelling 25 miles each way to this shop for 30 years. Best meat anywhere and great friendly staff.

Used the farm shop a few times.
Went in this week to buy some decent Rump Steak.

Bit disappointed.
Loads of gristle.
And not much flavour.
The steak was fried not grilled.
I expected better.

Visited Nixons farm shop on new years eve to buy a large piece of fillet to cook for new year with not being able to go out. I've got to say its the best piece of fillet we've ever had, we shall definitely be having another in the not to distant future.. what else is there to do in lockdown other than cook fillet and open a bottle of red.. We also had our Christmas tree from here at the beginning of December and the amount of selection they had was amazing. Also finished of with a bacon sandwich and coffee from the coffee shop.. All staff really helpful. keep up the good work...

Not sure staff handling various meats without gloves and touching face with hands without washing was particularly reassuring. Coffe and sandwich in the cafe was lovely

Great place for taking the little ones. Loads of indoor and outdoor toys for them including bouncy castles!

Large area for sitting and enjoying a drink and cake or breakfast or lunch directly next to the play area.

I have used Nixons for many years and the fresh meat is generally excellent and the staff always friendly and helpful, highly recommended.

This place rocks it's a great day for all ages. Great cakes and a fabulous all day breakfast

I heard some good things about this farm from some of the other mums at nursery however my experience wasn t so great, the staff were rude and didn t seem very happy to be there this made the atmosphere sort of uncomfortable. My two kids aged 4 and 6 were excited for the play area however i was disappointed when I found a messy, unsupervised environment. The food was over priced and extremely greasy although my daughter did enjoy her little boxed lunch. Overall wouldn t really recommend.

Had a joint 3rd birthday party here with around 20 toddlers, was a great hit. They all loved it and loads for them to play with outside with bouncy castle, ride on tractors/bikes and playhouses. Great to have an indoor area too for eating, and tea/coffee for the adults. Hot dogs were a real hit with the kids! Highly recommend for a child s party!

Nice enough meat - very expensive but you don't mind so much if the meat is good quality. The service however is absolutely shocking - the staff/owners are so rude and patronizing. Definitely won't be going back - I'd rather give my hard earned money to a family butchers that shows their customers some respect and actually values your custom. We spent quite a lot of money today and we were being rushed to pay and get out. If they had treated us better we would have continued to browse and spent more money - glad we didn't!

Usually go to a butchers on Smith Lane near Mobberley and only had to come to Nixon's as it was so late in the day. Will definitely be doing shopping earlier in future and going to Mobberley as usual

First visit very impressed with everything I purchased from the farm shop everything looks so nice. Can't wait to start eating what I have purchased. The tea room was lovely. Would recommend a visit cant wait to go back again

Brilliant farm shop, lots of space, plenty of parking, clean and tidy, great selection of fresh meat, kind and friendly service. Definitely recommend.

We have now been twice excellent meat ad value for money However the same cannot be said the same for the staff, time they all went on a customer relations course as none of them seem to know how to talk or deal with customers with exception of the old guy that stands with his back to the customers chopping meat he really needs to go on some sort of course that teaches how human work as the only words that he seems to have been taught is enythin else Shame!

Good quality meat locally slaughtered and well priced covid compliant shop and tea rooms, pet store too.

My grandchildren love going all the animals,treats from the shop and the play area inside is great and the meat is super quality.
