Best bakery in the region good breakfast and lunch menu
They serve breakfast and lunch and although they are open until 6:00 during the week, the kitchen closes at 3::00. After that you can get drinks and baked goods. I have eaten lunch there twice in the last 2 weeks, getting a sandwich each time. The sandwiches have both been terrific. Today I also got a bowl of the thickest tomato basil bisque I've ever had and it too was delicious. This is a counter service place. They also supply bread and roles to a number of other restaurants on town. I would definitely recommend this place for a quick lunch
This coffee shop is well-liked in the community. A fun casual place to meet up with friends. I have a few suggestions though. I would appreciate one or two gluten-free options in their freshly made category. I would love to see stevia offered along with the sugar and honey. One area has two receptacles for clean and dirty Forks . These are labeled but are literally inches apart in the same stand . I find that very distasteful and risky. You have to assume that everybody reads and carefully follows the directions. I would say it is high risk for pulling out a dirty utensil for your meal. Most importantly, I would love to see the tables wiped and cleaned in between customers. Eating at a table with stickiness and leftover food crumbs is never desirable ... even during the busy hours. They do a lot right here but could use some improvement when it comes to cleanliness.
My favorite bakery in Chattanooga! A destination must for locals and tourists alike
Great food, wonderful bread and decent service. The space is warm and inviting, which is why during lunch it is hard to get a table. Delicious soups, salads, sandwiches and pastries are offered, all made in house. My favorite thing is the ginger cookie, which is hands down the best I have ever had.
Awesome food, lovely clean place & very nice people that work there!!!!!
Great & cheerful staff.
Clean place w excellent food.
The BEST 5 dollar sausage egg & cheese biscuit in Chattanooga!!!
Great bread and pastries...kind of trendy and a little pricey.
Amazing bakery. Yes, come here to get some bread, but don't miss out on the sandwiches. They are wonderful and are made on slices of their top rate bread as well!
Very tasty veggie sandwich and some of the best chocolate cookies around.
Niedlov's is one of my favorite places in town. My husband and I actually had them cater brownies for our wedding! And I took my bridesmaids there the morning of the wedding. Everyone loved it and I was able to treat everyone because of how affordable it is! They absolutely NAIL breakfast and baked goods! I would recommend this place for breakfast as one of the best in town. Their lunch is good too, but their breakfast is outstanding.
Lox was delicious. Homemade granola divine. Coffee amazing. Prices were great.
Everytime I have ever gotten there has been amazing!
AMAZING baked goods and bread. The drinks are also so good especially the raspberry tea. Very cool outdoor seating area. The staff are very friendly and helpful too and the breakfast is amazing. Especially the brioche French toast. Highly recommend.
Love the tea here, and the breads, croissants, and danishes as well. Everything is so good. Great location!
1st time trying the sandwiches and we were not disappointed. My wife loved the Turkey and goat cheese on grilled cranberry sourdough. I loved the chicken salad. Will be back to try other sandwiches. For dessert was really good chocolate chip cookies. Soo good
Scone was good, coffee wasn t very good, but the Kombucha they sell was great.
Food was amazing , I would recommend to the business that even though the restaurant was packed 75% of the tables were taken by people just hanging out and for those that were actually spending money we and others had to wait on tables to eat .
Consistently delicious even after all these years! Love stopping here when I'm in town!
This bakery is one of my very favorite places in all of Chattanooga. Its inviting atmosphere, lovely and kind owners and staff, and delectable loaves of fresh bread, sandwiches, and pastries, make it a go-to breakfast and lunch stop throughout the year. It s cozy inside in the winter, and joyful out on the patio in the spring, summer, and fall months. I ve never ordered something I didn t love.
Quality people who use quality ingredients to create a product that will exceed expectations. I was pleasantly surprised by how amazing my experience was when I visited Neidlovs. The coffee and pastry were delicious and you can tell only the best ingredients are used. I look forward to my next visit :0)
This place is worth visiting just for the smell of fresh bread when you walk through the door. I have been here many times and everything I've had has been superb. I bring all of my out of town guests here and they fall in love too. The staff is incredibly friendly and very attentive. It's really is the perfect place all around
Great coffee drinks and pastries in the morning. For lunch, try the "pick two" option that includes one of their soups. Reasonable prices. The staff are helpful and friendly.
I love Niedlov's, but I also love bread. This is a great place to grab a bite to eat for breakfast or lunch. Its mostly sandwiches, soups, and bakery items. You can also buy their homemade bread to take home with you. I would definitely recommend this restaurant!
We had the vegan Banh Mi, California Club, and the Reuben. The banh mi was amazing and their bread is so delicious and light and fresh!
The best bread in Chattanooga and maybe in the whole south? It s so good.
Good bread. Unfortunately, the rolls are not that great. But very good for the USA.
Very good breakfast sandwiches. Coffee a little strong
Best bread I ve ever eaten. The cheddar pepper bread is the best! Yummy!
Best lunches and baked goods south of the river! Friendly, courteous service. Great "community" atmosphere. Highly recommend.
Wonderful bread, breakfast, and service! 'Neidlov's Breakfast' is a must.
We love Niedlov's. The breakfast and lunch prices are pretty fair for a cheapish date in a nice place. They've also got coffee and espresso beverages from Velo Coffee Roasters I believe.
The main draw, to me, is the pastries. They've got a case of stuff made daily that seems to rotate over time. To be honest, I get a "cruffin" every time we stop by. There's just something about a croissant muffin filled with some sort of smooth, custard-y filling that's just to die for.
Knead more Niedlov's!
My experience at Niedlov's was fantastic.
A great location and ambiance perfect for lunchtime meetings or casual meals with friends.
Staff responsive and helpful.
Food was delightful with all dishes being vibrantly colored, of significant proportions and prepared to perfection with a superb balance of flavors.
Price was appropriate for the quality of the food and location.
Limited parking at Niedlov's but plenty of parking options in the area.
The staff are always nice even when it gets busy on the weekends. Good place to work during the week since there is plenty of seating
Someone picked up my order number and I had to go get it back. Everyone in here has been served their order but me. I ve been waiting 39 minutes for a sandwich. Just had to ask for a refund and left.
Artisan baked goods, fresh daily. Good vibe and loyal customers flock here.
Good Joe!!!
The Janes look awesome as well!!!
Absolutely amazing the food here is very well seasoned. Some of the best food I've had, the coffee and bread beyond delicious. The staff are so polite and its cozy.
Primo! Great food, great staff, I love everything about the place. Try the sticky buns.
Always good, best bread in town. Good expresso and coffee.
One of my favorite coffee shops. Their lattes are delicious and their croissants... speechless. I definitely recommend this place!
I hope they extend their hours through the evening one day. This would be awesome for the "after work" crowd.
This place is awesome. Their food ranges from made daily pastries to breakfast/lunch meals. If you just want to visit a great coffee shop with supper yummy food, drop in!
Delicious fresh baked bread, friendly service, and a beautiful patio area.
Visiting from Tampa to escape Hurricane Irma, and I absolutely love it here. Great job with everything.
This place is a gem. Bakery, coffee and atmosphere all perfect.
I also really loved the hot sauce they offered, which you can pick up next to the napkins and bring back to the table. The sandwiches also came with a pickle spear, which was the perfect little side snack. They have a ton of cafe style More
Best Bakery, bread, and pastries in Chattanooga. They do everything they do very well. They are the experts in the area. Their Cruffin, croissant muffins, are to die for and worth every bite. They are light, airy, and filled with the most amazing cream. Great spot! Highly recommend them for breakfast or stopping by for a pastry or for some freshly baked bread
I love their mushrooben sandwich. Niedlov is a very neat place with great food.
My family and I ate here for the first time this morning and the food and service were absolutely amazing! My daughter has a severe nut allergy and the girls up front were so helpful in helping us find something that she would be able to eat. We will definitely be visiting again. I would recommend Niedlov to everyone!
The hype around this Chattanooga bakery staple did not disappoint! Possibly the best breakfast sandwich I've had. The fingerling potatoes were delightfully fresh with bright flavors, and the bagel and lox was delicious as well.
We saw the Niedlov name on menus all over the city, their bread is used on many of the sandwiches and toast dishes we had. So we came into brunch with high expectations, and loved it.
Had the brioche french toast with cream cheese and pear preserves! Unbelievable! Also purchased the croissant with ham and cheese inside. It is a personal favorite.
I highly recommend this shop to anyone that is looking for delicious bread served by genuinely good people. They very clearly care about the people that walk into their doors and it shows in the quality of their bread and service. Thanks again for the bread rolls, the burgers came out perfectly!
This place is amazing. Not only can you watch them make bread in the back, but you can taste the heart and soul they put into their bread making. Their menu is perfectly sized, and you can t really go wrong whether you want a sandwich or a plate.
It is slightly difficult to find parking, and you can tell that the place fills up with people working on their laptops, but don t let the stop you from coming here and staking your claim at a table
Bottom line: there is no question, make sure you visit Niedlov s and get a cup of their delicious coffee.
Great stop for breakfast. Get it to go or sit and enjoy a relaxing morning.
Absolutely delicious. Great coffee and even better bread. Try one of their sandwiches... The best in Chattanooga!
There are soups... And then there are "Holy Cow! Little Angels are Singing in my Mouth" soups. The sandwiches are decent (the cucumber sandwich is amazing), but the soups are to die for. I don't know how long they've had their current chef, but if you haven't visited in a few years, now is the time to go back and check it out.
EDIT 2018: watermelon gazpacho is amazing!!! If you re a novice at unusual soups, start with this one. It s almost dessert. Very happy that cold soup has returned. Will be checking more this summer to see if other cold soups show up as well.
EDIT 2016: due to low interest in cold soups last year, only the warm potato is being offered this summer. Trying to convince the chef to have an Exciting Soup Day once a week to help people adjust to the cold soups because they are awesome!!
If you're visiting Chattanooga, don't miss Niedlov's! The food is fantastic and local at this bakery / restaurant.
Whenever I feel like moving away from Chattanooga, I remember that we have Niedlov's, and am put back in my place. 5 stars aren't enough..
pricing--excellent
atmosphere--modern but homey (porch!!)
food quality--out of this world
coffee--better than the coffee shops that charge premium prices
We went for breakfast on a Saturday morning and the line was out the door. We ended up just getting some pastries when the food wait was 45 minutes and there was no where to sit. I got the sticky bun and my boyfriend got the banana nut muffin, which tasted like it had no sugar or banana in it, very bland. He ended up sharing mine. I would ve loved to try the quiches, but we had somewhere to be. I understand some of this is out of management s control.
Great food, and a very professional and friendly staff. I love this place!!
Great food but extremely loud. Only go first thing in the morning if you actually want to have a conversation.
The vibe is super chill and very welcoming!! Loved the art and all the little things about the building. Lots of people talking and enjoying friendships, great little bakery!! The danish was great and the coffee was perfect!
Beautiful bread for my family and friends, makes great gifts. Quality breakfast and lunch options. And love how Niedlovs serves the community.
Great looking pastries. All of the fresh pastries looked they were straight out of a magazine. Interior design is adorable. Will definitely visit again when in town.
I come here for lunch a lot and have never been disappointed (except when I forget they stop serving lunch at 3, which is my fault and I always forget haha). The sandwiches are fantastic, my personal favorite remains the turkey and goat cheese, but I have to give some shoutouts to the seasonal vegetarian options over the last year, most notably the shiitake ban mhi. Deng. It's delicious. The tomato soup is legit one of my favorite things on this planet. I love it. It's so so so yummy and my heart sings a little song when it's the soup of the day. The staff is always friendly, and I always feel comfortable sitting and drawing for a bit. Forever a staple in downtown Chatt.
Not sure what the name means but I need and love this place. Great food, great coffe, and great people. Thought they just made bread. Didn't know they also produce joy.
This was my first time here. I had the croissant egg breakfast sandwich with the sausage. Absolutely wonderful. It came with arugula and creme fraiche. So much flavor but simple enough to actually savor. It was really inexpensive and a very nice atmosphere. You can see to the back where they bake the breads and other goodies.
Amazing breakfast and lunch using local ingredients. Their order online and pick-up service is so fast and easy. Plus, you can purchase items online that go straight to front line workers, like a cup of coffee or breakfast. During the height of the pandemic they stocked basic necessities like milk, eggs, potatoes, etc. They demonstrated adaptability and I truly respect them as a business! Plus they carry Velo Coffee which is always a plus. :)
Not much selection in the afternoons, but that's probably on us for going so late in the day.
It was nice to have freshly baked croissants and the location is perfect for dining outside.
They're baking a new Pumpkin Caramel Cinnamon Roll. Warning!! Its seasonal so don't get too attached. I like to pair one with a House Latte for breakfast.....Delicious!!
I needed dinner rolls for an event. I have received compliments on how good they were already.
