I watched an NCI Nichols truck drive recklessly and notified the company of the truck #, date, time etc. NCI Nichols could not have been less interested. This is a bad company.

The insurance company sent this contractor to our townhouse on MLK JR Ave in DC in 2015 because the roof had been leaking where it is joined to the house next door. There was also a mold issue so the house was emptied and some of the walls and carpet had to be replaced as part of the remediation. 6 months later we were told everything was finished and we could move in. Upon inspection we noticed that a lot of corners were cut with the painting and wall sockets that either weren't installed correctly or should have been replaced. I even had to show one of the workers how to close up a long gap under a bathroom window with joint compound rather than just a long wad of caulk. The roof has continued to leak in the same area and we've called Mr. Nichols on several occasions to fix it properly. The last time he came sometime in the spring of 2020 he said that it needed a larger drain and the area around it needed to be repaired at a cost of $1100. Now our ceilings are falling down again in the area of the leak and it's molded and the insurance company is saying that if Mr. Nichols doesn't honor the warranty there's nothing they can do. I would suggest that you check with other contractors before you settle on this one.
