My best friend spent a month at this hospital, and while there were individuals who seemed to care what happened to him, by and large he was neglected and ignored. My five calls to Patient Advocates went unanswered. More often than not there was no live person on the other end of the line and I had to leave a voicemail. Which was never returned. He was pushed out to rehab while still very sick, had received three blood transfusions, had internal bleeding. He died one day later. It is too late for him but I will never forget. This hospital is the worst. If you have any other option, any at all, take it.

I was in their cardiac unit twice. On BUCKLEY 5. They have the BEST DOCTORS AND NURSE'S on that unit. I had a heartbeat of 160 to 180 beats per minute. Dr. Reddy and Dr. Haq are phenomenal. The staff was professional knowledgeable courteous and friendly. The nurse's have a lot of caring loving and professionalism. Very knowledgeable courteous and patience. GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU FOR THE HOSPITALIZATIONS TO MY SURGERY,

Went here Monday 08/30/21. Arrived via ambulance. Was dizzy, vomiting, had chronic diarrhea, horrible stomach cramps and a 103 degree fever. Staff that were working when I arrived were completely aloof, rude, and without care. Worst bedside manner I ve ever encountered. Shift change occurred while I was there. Staff were nicer but the attending physician sent the resident physician to kick me out prematurely. They sent me home with nausea medication and said they don t have anything else they can do for me. My fever was still 101 degrees, I was dizzy, could barely stand, and I fainted walking to the subway trying to get home, and pooped on myself. It was dehumanizing and embarrassing. I still needed to be monitored until I wasn t dizzy at the very least. Today is Thursday 09/02/21, and most of my issues still persist. I m at NYU Langone Cobble Hill Emergency Room where I m receiving much better care and being treated like a human being.

I was admitted to NYPBM hospital August 2nd from a stroke. I arrived to emergency about 11-45 am or so and waited anxiously till I received a room and bed at 1:45 the next morning. I thought the wait for a bed was quite long, but what can you expect in an emergency triage full of people. I was admitted to room 8047b-notrh where I was lovingly cared for by a host of doctors, nurses(R N nurse Abina Stein being extra exceptional)and the support staffs. My Kudos goes out to all nurses and nurse techs. After spending some days in the medical unit I was transferred to the Acute Occupational/ Physical Therapy Unit where i spent 10 days. Again the treatment was exceptional. This time I was in room 8007a-southThe staff was great, the doctors caring, the nurses and technicians wonderful, the O.T. and P. T. trainers I had were super men and women.
BTW, the food and service was good in both places
I would highly recommend this hospital

The staff is very nice I ve been here 3 times , today making my third . The doctors provide enough information for you to understand whatever the issue may or may not be . The longest I ve ever been here was 2 hours .

We ve had 3 experiences at this outdated hospital:
1. ER visit in 2019 took 11 hours for what should ve been a quick assessment.
2. Delivered a baby in 2020 when the hospital had a legionella outbreak which meant there was NO RUNNING WATER for the duration of our stay (4 days)
3. Most recently in aug 2021 had another baby, where there was a COCKROACH in the labor and delivery room. When we alerted the staff, they nodded knowingly and told us that the building is old and they have a cockroach problem and that they sometimes FALL FROM THE CEILING.

This place is a disgrace and I will travel to manhattan before I ever set foot in that hospital again.
