I always have a awesome experience at the pantry. The staff and volunteers are always very friendly and helpful.

Helping people with foods, nice people working there

I have to say it's an A'Ok place. First i have to say the place of business is clean. I mean you would think it's not up to it's par it is. That's a plus. What you see inside due it's circumstances well that's another story, I'm not hear to judge. When you first apply for the pantry is not much of a wait just make sure you bring your necessary papers so you can get your stuff. Now, as far as the the customer service, i went twice because my first visit i was unprepared however while my wait there are two ladies, a spanish young girl and a Korean girl. The Spanish girl has an attitude and doesn't look like she wants to help you. If your next and she sees who next and she doesn't want to help you she would take a 5 min brake or won't call you and stay at her desk. Reason i say this, twice i went she seen me and she did not take care of me when i was next after she was done with the person she had at her desk. She literally looked at me with her mean face and ignored me. I think she just felt intimidated by me or felt some type of way. But i was glad she didn't help me because the korean girl is a pleasure to be helped by. She is very sweet. The food is ok, i mean they can give you better vegetables or fruits. Not like they got it from the dumpster. They give you clear bags so everyone can see what you have. Change the bags. It's enough our pride being there has already dropped to a minimum. Clear bags is making it worst. So overall, The wait is awesome very fast, place is clean, customer service is ok, just go to the korean girl. There is a Shower for those who need to bathe in case you don't have a place to bathe. Laundry facility as well. Which is great !! Times are hard. If your in need of food and find yourself on a tight budget go to the common pantry. They will make it happen. Be Safe! God Bless you !

Great place to volunteer. Chill but efficient staff. Kindness overflows.

New York Common Pantry is my favorite place to go for morning breakfast. They serve a hot breakfast meal Mondays-Fridays starting at 8 am until around 9 am. Also, they offer services like aid for requiring food stamps, bi-weekly pantry food pick up, haircuts, laundry and showers. Hot meals for dinner are served Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays starting at 4:30 pm until 6 pm. On Saturdays and Sundays they offer bagged brown lunch to anyone who needs some extra nutrition. Make sure to ask for Mr. Wells if you have any concerns or questions. He has helped me many times, and always has the right attitude that I take to for an example of good advice pertaining to being respectful as well as alert to the ongoing environment and the people in it and around me. I recommend this place to anyone who finds this review and encourage everyone who needs a safe space to evaluate their needs (if you do not recognize what you may need, they will not tell you, but instead ask you and offer their services).

I used to work at NYCP as a cook. Loved the staff and the volunteers, especially the youngsters. Great place, great mission!

This place is awesome! I was treated very well. The lady helping me, quickly registered me, and I was given emergency groceries quickly! Thank God for this pantry and the people who work and volunteer here!

I love this place. It has a variety of services for the needy. It's the only place I go to take showers and do laundry. You can also get breakfast and dinner their. It also provides groceries for the poor. Great place if you need services, you won't be disappointed!!!

Oh this place is a high up on my list to share this pantry have your best interest at heart I volunteered here food is amazing and fresh they give bag lunches and dinner. To date services is limited but you will get E.R. provisions check it out .

Awesome pantry! You can even order online and just show up to pick up your groceries. They have hot meals-breakfast, dinner. They have showers, haircuts, and you get screened for other services.

I love this pantry it. Provides healthy nutritious meals and. Gives you the mine set .to eat healthy.

People are friendly and not much wait considering all the people

The work they do is very good. I have had problems with them picking up donations. Can rarely get a real person. Just leave a recorded message.

I receive pantry every other week. I like that you pick out what you want instead of receiving a mystery bag of can goods.

There's time that two,and three workers get-off abusing attitudes when asking a question or just getting your pantry. Im thankful to all who helps my families, and me. Providing, and assistancing to have a community center. Where dreams can come true, with work. Hoora!

This place is great you can eat there and they have a pantry and you can order online. The staff was helpful and friendly too. Save money and come here

Yorkville Common Pantry is a very important contributor to all that is good, right and just about our city. With a well respected soup kitchen and a respectable social services component on board, the experience could well prove beneficial.

I went to recertify SNAP, must have all forms, and ID, with proof of address (Con Ed, Rent bills) and you can also register for twice monthly pantry. Very nice & helpful Staff, & Pantry Aides. Spanish speaking assistants available.

The rules change everyday regarding dinner hours which is crazy for such mediocre food. I remember asking once what type of meat they were serving me and they weren't too sure.

Great soup kitchen that offers free and surprisingly tasty food. Breakfast, lunch and dinner served daily.

Great place for low income individuals & families to recieve food and other social services

Today was enlightening and a bit inubriating. The New York Common Pantry Membership states every two weeks, two bags of food, which are pretty good. The breakfast and dinners are great as well. Free brown paper bag meals Saturday and Sunday 4pm - 5pm are awesome too. A bit disappointed today because I already used up my Membership benefits. An interesting turn of events though. Overall great establishment. Thank you New York Common Pantry.
