This is a wonderful program with a unique treatment modality. For kids who have struggled to see results from traditional talk therapy, this program is a great opportunity. We are luckily to have it in Wisconsin for our youth!
New Vision Wilderness is one of the best WT programs in the country. I fully believe in the mission of New Vision Wilderness and would recommend their services to a parent with a child in need. Although there is something truly amazing and therapeutic about the setting that wilderness therapy programs provide, New Vision has unique qualities that set it apart from other wilderness programs. From the care provided in the field, to the care provided out of the field in working with the parents, NVW therapists are doing the most to help your struggling child heal / grow / move on from whatever was holding them back. The children also learn how to care for themselves in a remote setting. NVW has saved many lives and will continue to do so everyday.
New Vision was wonderful for our son. From the moment he arrived our son was cared for, encouraged, pushed and taught in all the best ways. After an initial period of grumpy adjustment he decided that wilderness was an awesome place for him. He would tell you it was 100% worth it. We have noticed a huge change in his ability to tolerate frustration and his ease of communication. Thanks New Vision- you did great things for our child!

As a mental health professional, I connected with New Vision Wilderness to learn more about their organization and how Rogers Behavioral Health can work with them. I was blow away by the innovation of this program and the wonderful work they do. I enjoyed the presentation so much, I actually told a close friend of mine to apply for a job with them! This is definitely a program that can do a lot of good work for those in need.
New Vision Wilderness Wisconsin is an exceptional program. Their approach is compassionate, refined and effective. Their clinical expertise challenges the entire family to commit to the journey as well (which is critical). We gained so much from Steve Sawyer's weekly family webinars. Patrick McAvoy and Kaci Sapinski instilled confidence and were so supportive during the admissions process. Most importantly, Erin Faehling was an extremely skilled and effective Therapist. Her approach is relatable even for those unfamiliar with the process. She helped foster meaningful and long-lasting change. I would highly recommend NVW to any family in need of this intervention-type support.
