Also used for football matches (as opposed to gridiron). The stadium is uncomfortable, the view of the playing area is poor, the seat space is small and the danger of falling is great. The pitch is too small for football. I went to see the Copa America there. The food was very poor quality. It took me three hours to get out of the carpark at the end of the match. The low quality of the stadium facilities detracted from the football. Liverpool and Manchester City supporters beware, the stadium is not a football stadium and it is not in New York City. It is designed for two of their local gridiron teams to play in. It should be reserved for that. There are much better football stadiums. To compare with Barcelona, ManC, ManU, Liverpool, Real Madrid, Arsenal, Maracana is just absurd. It's just a money-grab. Red Bull Stadium which is close is a purpose built football stadium and is comfortable and safe (although the food is generally poor), has a great atmosphere, but only has a 25000 capacity. Another ICC match is being held there. It would have been a much better venue, and would have given a nod to football in a land where they think that the national gridiron game is a world game. Come on, all they do is work with franchises. That says it all.

We had great seats section 129 row 4. The parking situation is a mess and very confusing for a first time visitor. Once inside, the corridors are far too narrow and impossible to navigate during halftime on the field level. We attend games at Lincoln financial field often and never had the types of issues moving to and from our seats and concessions.

MetLife is an island stadium, in a crappy part of wasteland NJ. The good news is that they allow tailgating, and many fine folks come out. The bad news is you are trapped in their parking lot until the game begins.

No restaurants outside the stadium, or anything. And in the stadium? No sit down eating or bars for the plebes. Now if you are filthy rich you can join one of the 5 private clubs and get all the bars and sit down seating you want for $400-$1000 per event. I guess that is one of the many prices of living in NJ/NY.

Around the U.S in places filled with normal folks, stadiums are surrounded by restaurants, hotels and even shopping. BTW parking is $40 unless you prebuy online. Cash.

The views are good in the seats, and the video screens clear to see. The concession food is horrifying. I ate at the cheeseteak place and it was rat meat and horrifying bread. The BBQ platter was beyond gross, the meat is obviously grade D. A McDonalds would be a step up. Maybe 2 steps up.

The folks at the game are pretty cool, more NJ than NY. Except the screaming monster family that everyone in section 115 wanted to kill. I hope your 7 person family including the 5 obnoxious kids you spawned drove into a lake.

As stadiums go this is an impressive place but if you are planning to watch a game I'd avoid it if it rains.... no cover, you get absolutely drenched almost regardless of where you sit. Transport links there and back was good and well organised

Although this stadium is great, it does have it's cons. Let start by saying that I've attended many soccer and football games. My experiences are all based on those 2 types of events. First of all, the exterior look of the stadium is not my favorite ( I actually don't like it at all). Although that doesn't really matter since you're going to be on the inside of it, I just wanted to make my opinion known. The inside is really nice. Everything is looks clean and modern. The walkways are wide enough to accommodate the large crowds. The lines also never tend to get to long due to the abundance of shops. The actual watching experience is where this stadium goes above and beyond. This stadium is HUGE! When the stadium is full, the atmosphere is unlike no other. You can feel the noise. It's great! The video boards are also really big which is always good. Once the event is done; that's when the main con comes into play. The parking is absolutely terrible. It takes at least an hour to get out of the parking lot. I highly recommend someone dropping you off.
Overall, it's a great stadium. I really like it.

It's a stadium and feels like a stadium. It all depends on who or what is playing inside the stadium. Since I am a Jets fan... I have seen nicer stadiums out there and obviously a slightly better product on the field. I'll keep going back though because I love the punnishment. They have tons of concerts and a huge fair too!

I wish there is a zero star, so I can feel satisfied writing this comment. I was at the stadium for a soccer match, which I missed most of it and just wast my time and my money. I took more than one hour to find a parking spot. They closed all the parking lots, so I had to go around the stadium, and finally we found a lot of empty spaces in front of the main entrance.

Went and saw the On The Run 2 concert and the drive there was so easy. The food and drink prices weren't that bad. The only headache was getting out of the parking lot when the concert was over but that is to be expected. Cool place and great experience. The staff were also very helpful. Watch out for the $30 parking fee though.
