New Horizons Diving Reviews

I m fairly new to diving and came in to have some equipment I purchased used online inspected and serviced. I called the day before to discuss the best way to go about it and he suggested I come in and he d rush inspect it. The girl was nice but the older man got very frustrated with me when I was asking him to explain things. By the end he got angry and said that I was wasting his time . That is no way to treat a customer or fellow diver. The store was also empty. I m extremely disappointed in the way I was treated tonight. The girl and son? tried to mouth I m sorry because they knew how rude this guy just was to me. I m sad to have been treated with such contempt by a place I was seeking to give business to and maybe find a community of fellow divers. Never again. Very disappointed.

The owners and employees are fun and energetic people. They are patient, understanding and will work with you through any difficulties. This is the shop to go to get certified. No hidden agendas or fees....great local family shop. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Great owners, staff, shop, and community in general!

As a newer diver, I always found myself looking for the best deals for my scuba kit online. But I can say with 100% confidence, use your local dive store! My wife and I did our research and were able to go to Travis and Lavon at New Horisons with what we wanted. It may not have been in stock, but they were able to get exactly what we wanted for prices the internet couldn't touch. Even got my BC in (which was not even available online). Thank you to New Horizons and we will be longtime friends and customers.

This place is amazing! They helped us from start to finish. We just finished our pool certification with Travis and could not have had a better time. It s very awkward (breathing under water) at first, but Travis made it a slow and smooth process. Slow is smooth and smooth becomes fast . Thanks again for everything!

Had a problem with some diving equipment and they took care of it without any problems. Friendly, knowledgeable staff that takes care of their customers. Highly recommend.

The owner and his employees teach the scuba diving class that I am taking at UK and they make everything extremely fun and easy to understand. My first visit to the store was painless and enjoyable and I was fitted for fins and mask in 10 minutes. This is the only place I will buy scuba equipment from, from now on

Was glad to find a dive shop near me, and especially one with knowledgeable staff. It wasn't something I expected to find close to home. Look forward to getting to know them better.

You don't have to live near the ocean to SCUBA dive. If you are thinking about learning how to dive stop by the shop. There is a large group of SCUBA drivers in Lexington and places to dive within an hour or two. The dive shop plans lots of dive trips during the year. I got certified when I turned 40. You are NEVER to old to become the person you were meant to be. Learning to dive had been on my bucket list since high school. Live long, dive often.

Great experience with this group teaching me to dive! Emily Purdue was wonderful in helping my wife with this amazing surprise and very patient and knowledgeable trainer.

Travis and Lavon made me feel like I've been on lots of trips with them! I can't wait to travel with this fun group.

Shop is well stocked and they know ever piece of equipment and someone there has used it or can make excellent recommendations.

My fiance and I just completed our open water certification with New Horizons! I HIGHLY recommend completing your certification with them. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and very enthusiastic about the sport. I am absolutely blown away with how comfortable they made me feel and I look forward to diving on my honeymoon!
