worst people ever. shut my power off without notice couldnt get ahold of anyone that could do anything for days and then wanted 1000 to reconnect when had paid my entire bill previous week. Its truly disgusting how unethical humans can be to other humans for a power co that is supposed to be owned by its members

Always interesting to hear from people who want their power restored Now! They would be better informed if they shadowed the people doing the actual work for a busy power outage event. I live on an island: not first on the list but always happy with the service in difficult times.

Forced to use them. Power goes out all the time and they never tell you what s going on or when to expect it to come back. Our power is out right now and it s a beautiful day. I would give them zero stars if I could. This company needs to be tossed in the trash can.

I don't know how they are rated two stars. I wish there was a zero star option. Trying to set up new service and it's been nothing but a cluster f of numbers to call and rude people to deal with. Best thing that could happen is if Eversource, Liberty or someone better bought NHEC!

Not sure why some people are having such bad experiences. So far, they have been great for us. Service has been reliable, they respond to questions, and have been helpful in getting us information about rebates which apply to our home and business. I was a bit concerned when I first moved to the area from the seacoast, and haven't had any issues and am pleased with the service.

I think they are terrific! We live in a very rural area, so outages are not uncommon. Generally they fix outages very quickly. Always great service when I call with a question. We had Eversource at our last home, and NHEC is much better.

Their people did a tree removal to prevent damage to their lines (even though I am NOT a customer of theirs and I have Eversource). I am the last person on Eversource's run and the lines after it are NH-Coop's. They removed the tree in a couple hours, left me a couple logs, and cleaned up. Great people. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I came to my seasonal home in Merrymeeting River Community to find the tree cut that was hanging over my trailer and all the bushes that were totally blocking my path to my shed. As a senior that couldn't of got the work done, I truly appreciate what you did from the bottom of my heart! God bless

Has to be the worst power company in our country. Thanks for adding that little touch of third world living to NH. Certain areas need more options for power. Sick of this company taking peoples money.

About New hampshire electric cooperative, inc.

New Hampshire Electric Cooperative, Inc. (NHEC) is a non-profit electric utility company that provides affordable and reliable electric service to its members in New Hampshire. The company was founded in 1939 and has since been committed to providing high-quality service to its members.

NHEC serves over 85,000 members across 115 towns and cities in New Hampshire. The company's mission is to provide its members with access to affordable, reliable electric service that supports and simplifies their lives.

One of the key features of NHEC is its commitment to renewable energy sources. The company has invested heavily in renewable energy projects such as solar power, wind power, hydroelectric power, and biomass energy. This investment has helped NHEC reduce its carbon footprint while also providing clean energy options for its members.

In addition to renewable energy sources, NHEC offers a range of programs designed to help members save money on their electricity bills. These programs include rebates for purchasing energy-efficient appliances and equipment, as well as incentives for installing solar panels or other renewable energy systems.

NHEC also offers a variety of payment options designed to make it easy for members to pay their bills on time. Members can choose from automatic payments or online bill pay options that allow them to manage their accounts from anywhere at any time.

Another important aspect of NHEC's services is the cooperative business model it operates under. As a cooperative, NHEC is owned by its members who have a say in how the company operates through an elected board of directors. This means that decisions are made with the best interests of the membership in mind rather than solely focusing on profits.

Overall, New Hampshire Electric Cooperative Inc.'s commitment towards providing affordable electricity services while promoting sustainable practices makes them stand out among other utility companies operating within New Hampshire state lines. With an emphasis on member satisfaction through various programs aimed at reducing costs associated with electricity usage coupled with innovative solutions like investing heavily into renewable energies; this organization continues making strides towards becoming one of America's leading providers when it comes down not only just powering homes but also supporting communities they serve!
