New Century Buffet Review

Its the best buffet i have ever been in my life. The service is Excellent and the food is Amazing and its very cheap. i love that place im going there next week.

Decent selection, not much variety, nothing fancy, nothing special, nothing unique.

Customer service is great prompt and serving soft drinks food is okay could be better

Lunch buffet has a decent amount of options for a good price. And the sushi is always very good

Went for dinner 13 dollars they server crab without any tools to eat. Sat for an hour hoping the would restock some items never happened. If you don't mind over cooked seafood come here.

We will not be back. Service was good. Food not so much. The sushi was dry as if prepared hours in advance and then refrigerated. Food looked old except for the popular items.

Food is always fresh. Sweet sour soup the bomb. Salad bar cold. Great selections of toppings. Real Crab meat in salad . Wide selection of sushi. Desert bar I stay away from. Cookies, more cookies, ice cream. Fruit bar with chocolate waterfall for dipping. 1$ off 60 an over. That's me well sort of. Lady at checkout is nice an BEAUTIFUL.

I'm not sure why such low scores from other people. Been here once. The staff was friendly and they took my dirty plates everytime I left the table for more food. It was at noon and I paid $8.99 which was very fair priced. The food variety was very good and I'd recommend this place.

Wonderful place for a wonderful meal! I've been in different all you can eat places. To me it seems that there is a table and chairs any and every where one will fit. When your choosing your food, someone is right next to you or reaching across you. Children running around by themselves sometimes. This place is different. Lots of elbow room. Even when you're choosing your food. Fresh food is always being brought out. I was pleasantly surprised, my first time for lunch at the different choices they give you. Seafood, shell food, soup, salads, fruits, noodles, different desserts, ice cream and oh ya sushi. Not my cup of tea.. My favorite thing there is the fried wontons, with cream cheese inside!! Last but not least this is a place where you can be happy coming and going.. There pricing is very reasonable!!! You won't have to take out a loan to treat your family too a good sit down and relax meal.

Waiters are lacking courtesy and they don't clean tables well , food is very fatty ,and restrooms are very dirty

Love this place! Very large restaurant to accommodate a lot of people. Must be okay with sitting closely to other patrons - table arrangements is like being on an airplane! Food is so Flavorful! Love the crab and soup and prices are reasonable. I'm there every week.

Love their egg drop soup! Always so hot and fresh! They have a nice selection of hot food entrees, a salad bar, and a desert island with soft serve. Not a big fan of the ice cream, but LOVE those almond cookies!

The food is delicious and the servers are so kind and pleasant. They need to be more diligent about cleaning the floors. It really could use a face lift.

Amazing - we have lived in El Cajon for 31 years and today's lunch was our first visit to the New Century Buffet. Heidi and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will be back soon. (Pssst, they have tempura shrimp - don't tell anybody).

If you are looking for a great Asian buffet that won t break the bank, this is it. For under $10 you get a huge selection of outstanding Asian, American, salad bar, sushi and an awesome dessert selection. I have been coming here for years and have never had a bad experience. The staff here is also extremely attentive and polite. I asked for a fresh batch of salted squid and not only did they cook up one, he came to the table to let me know it was ready. As far as I know, this is the only Asian buffet in the East County, that is if you re not counting the casino buffet s which are nearly triple the price. There is plenty of parking as well as ample amount of seating of both tables and booths. The temperature outside was nearly 100* but inside it was nice and cool. If you re ever in the area, Steve says this is a fantastic meal for your money!
They also have takeout, buffet to go at a great price. Thank you New Century Buffet - I won t have to cook tonight or do the dishes!

I love this buffet not the friendly staff not the clean dinning room not the easy parking not the ....................... yada yada i love coming here simply for the flavor of the food honey bread (yeah i eat bread at a buffet) the butter shrimp the crawfish the salty shrimp lobster rolls oh man i can go on and on and i will for a min been going here for years and they always kept it good enter your code get a freebie loving it i always get like a whole dinner

Great food, I tasted a piece of skin of something and didn't like it.

I have been here a few times. The service is great and the vibe is calm. The waiters are efficient and you never wait long for a refill.

Lunch is good, but dinner is the time to go. I love the steak (they provide A1 sauce), the cocunut shrimp, the cooked shrimp you can peel, stuffed shrimp, salted shrimp, and ribs.

You also have many Chinese dishes like beef and broccoli, fried rice, noodles, orange chicken, and many more. They have sushi, but I am not a fan. Salad bar is good as well. Lots of fruit.

The low reviews are beyond me. This place is great and priced fair for the selection. I highly recommend you give it a shot. Cheers!

Food was ok but all the items weren't fresh and the one male server was just staring at everyone while they're telling to eat which was really irritating so I won't be back there again.

They've got a lot of good dishes, and will sometimes have real crab. The crispy chicken and orange chicken are probably my favorite. It's a rather standard buffet, but I'm giving it 5 stars because I've never had a problem here, I've constantly seen them change out the dishes, it's always clean when I'm here, I'm seated once I'm noticed, it's quiet, and they have good prices.

Worst experience ever at a buffet the food tasted like it hadn't been changed in hours half of everything was empty, their sushi was going bad from sitting out their lobster was soggy, their dessert looked like it's been sitting cans for months, one of their workers had his hand on our booth standing above us invading our privacy and after my friend threw up because of their food never again.

this buffet is good but the workers are really rude to the customers if you ask them a question they just look at you with a confused face but their chowmein & fries & their little lobsters are tasty

Very bad experience in this buffet. Bad management and service and old food.

Wish we had better service, we had to get up for our drinks everytime we needed a refill to ask a busboy because we couldnt see our waitress until we literally checked out lol. There also was time where youd have to wait 5-10 minutes for them to restock their soup bowls and food. I seen the salmon sit for about 45 mins without anybody touching it and it just looks super gross lol.

This place was awesome the lady even asked if we we're still hungry after they had closed the kitchen! That's nice of her! It was good and clean! :) I was surprised because you don't find places like these.
