NE Lincs council Review

Absolute scumbags. Fining a grieving family for taking 48 seconds too long to say goodbye to their deceased father. I'm absolutely speechless. You're lucky you can't do that to me.

This is without doubt one of the worst councils in the UK. (I think this has been pointed out by a government watchdog too) Most of the staff are rude (there is the occasional exception to that rule) and generally very unhelpful. There is no accountability whatsoever so no one is ever taken to task for either not doing there job description or just ignoring any request you make through this ridiculous reporting portal that closes every request you make.
Seriously if a business ran the way these clowns run the council then it would be out of business and bankrupt within days!
The moral of the story is try to avoid Grimsby and choose somewhere to live on its fringes such as East or West Lindsey as their councils are highly rated and actually employ people who are happy to work for them.

Absolute, pure filth taking advantage of the deceased and elderly, only in the UK would a family mourning there loved one, would get a hefty fine for there funeral going a few seconds over time. This is totally unacceptable, and has no place in any country!
These council members should be ashamed of them selfs, and need to consider relinquishing there positions, as they are clearly more worried about there own wallets, then running the council!
It definitely reinforces my opinion that the UK would definitely be on my list of places to visit!

Sorted things with my landlord and it took the council 2 weeks to realise we were being threatened with homelessness and to call the number...Called the number and was greeted by someone who obviously got her customer service skills in the war and told me it was emergency number only and kept telling me to hang up...Why give me the number...

Possibly the worst council I have come across, just wish I could vote it no stars!.

East Marsh has always been forgotten about by all council parties over more than three decades, always other parts of this Borough whether its new jobs or decent housing as the homes whether owned by longhurst havelok or other landlords are in a poor state of repair with many suffering from damp and mold as the landlords will not pay out for the work to be done properly, it's alway bodge jobs, it's time the councillors stood upto all landlords and that includes Longhurst.

This town is dying and the teens, chavvs and dealers are ruining the once borough of great grimsby and antisocial behaviour is the biggest cause.

one word for this council useless, Grimsby is going backwards not forward.

Giving people a fine while in the cemetery visiting lost love ones or even because the funeral runs over a few minutes, wow that's an all time low !! Must have some heartless people running this council.

NO WASTE BIN COLLECTION.
No waste bin collection Wednesday 22nd May in the Heneage Road area. Phoned the council to ask why and was told there would be no collection. Apparently "there was a problem" but they didn't know what ? haha. Was told to keep putting bin out, i think these people think we have nothing better to do, but we need to find that MASSIVE council tax bill somehow by maybe working for living !!
No announcements or information to a change of day for bin collection on their website either. I mean how hard is it for someone there, to get on a keyboard and change the information on their site, or maybe i should just ask Mystic Meg!!
Whoever is in charge of household waste, WAKE UP!

Rubbish.
For the third time in a row the recycling has been missed in my area. Meanwhile the wind blows rubbish down the street and fox's raid the tin cans at night spreading them around the street.
It's astonishing really, every year they take more money and offer far worse service than the previous year.

This council mismanages a primitive northern town where the majority of inhabitants are backwards and uncivilized. This of course means that the council staff also behave in this manner. Horrible council, Horrible rude and incompetent nasty staff.

Not very supportive if your struggling to pay your council tax.

We have just moved back am ashamed at the way the council have let the town go to rack & ruin. Not at all surprised people go to hull, Sheffield etc to do their shopping. All the new housing developments that are being built why isn't the town also being developed ?

They aren't paying money they siad they would give us in 4 weeks that was 2 1/2 months ago us being me and my girlfriend
