My mother filed her claim last month due to her job with this pandemic. Today, it has been over a month and nothing! So she called them and was on hold from 8:30am to 11am and cutoff. What the hell is that? Terrible! As long as you guys been in business you would think that you be organized! And know how to handle any obstacles! And do right!

The reason I give 1 star is simple, the information given to me was incomplete everytime I called; except one time. The representatives were giving different info causing waste of time. A representative named Kimberly had an overly authoritarian attitude. She had no tact at all. BTW, if you are reading this post, you got my info, call me. I am rude person too, but I know when, who and where to be rude. You are serving people in a public position, yes taxpayers, we pay your behind to be efficient and candid with the people that are struggling financially, in my case, an honorable veteran looking for a job and trying not to be a lazy person. I will pay anyone if a soldier on duty will disrespect a citizen and not get punished. Kimberly, you need some training on customer service ettiquete. Be candid. Don't confuse efficiency with rudeness because I can be rude too. Your communication skills (listening and voice tone) does not match your audience, and in your case, your audience is different everytime you answer that phone, so listen first the person and adjust fire.

The call center is a waste of time and money for the taxpayers of NC. Everytime they are called there is nothing they can ever do. This is taxpayers money that could be going to help the unemployed people of NC.

I have NEVER in my life been so incredibly disgusted. I have talked with several people regarding my unemployment claim and I'm told different information every single time. I can't get a hold of a DES agent whom I'm told is the only one who can assist me. they don't even deserve one star!

Due to the forced closure of my wife s business we have attempted to file for unemployment. The entire system is a disaster. No one will answer the phones and when they do they can t figure out what they issue is with her claim. A totally failure of the citizens of this state.

As of 1/4/19, the following people refuse to assist me with enrolling in Career Pathways program:Myra Beatty, Chet Mottershead, Michelle Muir, Julie Bender. Cheryl Forbes, and Lockhart Taylor. They claim I am harassing them. Asking these employed people for assistance that is their job to provide is not harassment.
Also, on 12/19/2018, Myra Beatty and Chet Mottershead claimed to have referred me to job placements and trainings. When I asked for details, they both refused to provide me with details these about the alleged referrals. Stephanie E. Becoat called my husband's cell but left a voicemail for me. I did not know who she was as I did not contact her. I returned her call on 11/2/18 and learned that her call was in response to an email I sent to the Department of Commerce. When I explained what assistance I needed, Stephanie stated that she had provided all the assistance to me that she could. This consisted of no assistance since 11/2 was the 1st time I ever spoke to her. I asked to speak to her supervisor and she hung up on me. I immediately called her back and left a voicemail again requesting to speak to her supervisor. Stephanie did not answer and did not return my call. She should be fired immediately. Gov. Cooper, close the place down if people there won't do their jobs.
