The good: Family atmosphere, family friendly company. Great people in the office to work with. Severance if they let you go.

The bad: Poor pay, poor benefits, small company mentality, resistant to change.

The ugly: Still operating under the Southern "Good Old Boy Network", if you don't make best friends with the right people, right out of the gate, it doesn't matter how hard you work... you could find yourself out of a job, very quickly.

My experience: I really liked a lot of the employees that I worked with, still do. Very nice people but the owners and some of the management team leave a lot to be desired. I recruited for them for 6 mos. I was told that they needed someone to bring new ideas to the table and update their recruiting dept. when I interviewed. The company does not pay their drivers very well so unless I wanted to be a snake oil salesman, the only way I could see to bring in more drivers would be to get their name out there more and bring in more calls. I had several ideas and most of them were shot down. I was left recruiting with little to no budget and did what I could to make the best out of what I had.

The manager who hired me was under-minded very quickly by 2 other managers who decided right away that I was an issue and needed to be dealt with. Mostly because my recruiting style was different than theirs. Even though I have a very good recruiting record with other companies and have always out-performed my peers, somehow I was the issue & didn't know what I was doing, as far as they were concerned.

I started to be micromanaged and couldn't tie my shoes without asking permission. I was let go 4 weeks after being told by my new manager that I was doing fine and that they had no issues with me. This came the day after being prodded, relentlessly, to give my opinion about a couple of other employees' work ethic. I gave my honest opinion and found myself canned the next day.

My career has continued to soar every since with a couple of hiccups along the way but I should thank them for letting me go since I make a substantial amount more than I ever would have with their company and am treated respectfully and with appreciation by the people I currently work for.

In short, if you like smaller companies and a family friendly atmosphere, this would be your place... as long as you can deal with short mindedness and the good old Southern tradition of the buddy, buddy system.

At first my impression was great company great people. They come accross as a christian based company and everyone was friendly . what they dont tell you is if they need you your job is secure if they dont need you they let you go in a heart beat. I worked there for a year and eight months. I had seniority on the account i was on. They lost the account and i was let go. They did give me a 2 week severence though. People in the office were nice but the decion makers were deceiptful and arrogant.
