Waited thirty-five minutes outside for the shuttle at Coors Field after parking there on their recommendation. Really? If you want people to park at Coors Field provide sufficient shuttles and anticipate high traffic times. Don't just provide a lame excuse about heavy traffic..
Really enjoyed the show and the expo. Great emtertainment!
Must-see Denver tradition. Beautifully animals, and fascinating people.
This is a semi nice place.... Parking is a challenge and not cheap, unless you walk way too far. By nature of how the complex grew, it is a hodgepodge of confusion as far as layout. Also because of the nature of business requirements multiple events are staged around like times and adds to confusion and congestion. Outdated and poorly planned not conducive to a pleasant experience.
Parking was absolutely horrendous and totally disorganized for an event that has occurred for so many years. No support from the police and lots with spaces not allowed to take cars. While the rodeo was very good, it was a shame to miss half an hour due to having to allow 60 minutes to park and get to the venue. Additional signage would also be helpful as others have pointed out, not everything is easy to locate if it s your first time. Hopefully management can actually act and make improvements.
Always come for the stock show and pbr event. Love it every year. Hoping the new changes dont lose the feel it has already
It was ok pretty clean but what can you expect fun for kids very crowded busy but fun to go and escape for a day.
I have worked this venue as actual security for various events & concerts, including Ultimate Fights, Low Rider Shows & Too Short concert that included the infamous rump shaker contest. This is an older venue in Denver, but holds its own. The history at this place is immence & I am proud to have actually been involved with it.
Not enough food to eat and the bed is uncomfortable
I love the stock show its great family fun and I am a rancher it's also my life
Love the Tradition, Jack Daniels didn't show up this year but that's okay.
Wish it was like it use to be, to commercialized now!!!!
The stock show rodeo is a Denver must see. Every seat is a good seat. Lots to do in the stock show floor as well.
My first rodeo I really enjoyed myself with my wife and kids
Fun for the kids. Very neat farm animals obviously. But, parking is expensive. Also every show that we wanted to see cost more money. Talk about getting nickled and dimed.
With out a doubt your web site is absolutely the worst I have ever seen. It is not in the least bit user friendly, informative or accurate. In addition the so called volunteers are worthless. Ask them a question and either you get the deer in the head lights look or they give misinformation that sends you searching to no avail. NWSS is a huge revenue generator and it is absolutely embarrassing to see the lack of professionally and disregard of a very large part of Denver and Colorado. I can only ask if your organization is to dismiss, discount and minimize the NWSS is an attempt to solidify that Denver is no longer a "COW TOWN" News flash it is agriculture that not only made Colorado early on but it still is alive and productive. Please respect our history ,culture, and impact we give this country. Next time you go to your grocery store take inventory of the impact agriculture has contributed in EVERY isle.
Just one of those "COW PEOPLE"
We always have tons of fun, just like I remember from my childhood :)
Although if we went 2 days before we would have saved 5 bucks a ticket it was a good time. Lots of things to see, stuff to learn and animals to pet.
Fun venue, lots of different events, family friendly.
An amazing show which made me an older guy and a 5 year old happy. Got to see it!
I always go to the stock show every year with the family. We typically steer clear of the food stands because of prices but we enjoy walking around all the different vendors to see what cool things are being sold. We always would watch the rodeo because not only is it inexpensive but who wouldn't want to watch a clown jump in a barrel and get smashed by a bull? Can't wait for next years stock show when I have some land!
Good place to have riot fest, but the parking was a little over full and overpriced.
Mexican Rodeo was great but venue so over crowded in walkways it was impossible to get to vendors before & after.
Much warmer this year! Lots of fun things to do and see. Love the equine events.
After going to the stock show Sunday 1-18, I must tell you how very disappointed i was and still am at what the stock show has become.... its a "Trade Show", with a very small side of western family farming
values. I went with my 3 grand daughters that were so looking forward to seeing the animals and finding out about having & raising critters...and much to our surprise, we were told the 4-H small animal area had been eliminated, due to room constraints.... Oh heck I saw tons of places they could have put, try moving out some of the pay for crap booths(how many cheap cowboy hats & broken before you leave toys do we need), eliminate some of the mattresses, the pots, pans & knives that are already be hocked on TV. Maybe get the casinos booth and the Cheer leaders booth sell and sign a calender booth. Where will our children ever get interested in farming ranching, how will we ever pass the knowledge and passion on to the next generation. Lets get back to what the "salt of the earth" folks want in a stock show. Please, sign me a sad granny.
Our time hear has been a rough ride for sure. But as a DRM employee I've learned a lot about crisis management and it's been great to provide shelter and food to people experiencing homelessness in an uncertain time.
This place is insanely busy on the weekends. During the weekdays it's reasonable. If you have City kids who don't have a lot of exposure to farm animals this is a good place to take them.
A great way to spend the day, bring the family and make sure to plan for lots of walking as there is a lot to see and take in all across the grounds. They offer a great family pack for tickets that usually (it may vary from year to year) include grounds entrance, tickets to the rodeo and dinner.
I went with my kindergarten class. The lunch situation was a bit tricky and the line for the petting zoo was neverending. Nonetheless the Kidd's had a lot of fun and learned loads
It is always a first-class operation when you go there
My experience here was great. I absolutely loved it. Me and my class had alot of fun. I definitely recommend going here when you can.
Such a cool piece of our local history and culture.
National Western Rodeo first 2weeks in January the Best.
Some yokels convinced the city to put way too much money into this place without thinking of access. Has a ton of events now, but the parking lots are constantly full and poorly organized, and the facility has almost no bike access despite being so close to downtown. Has become a warehouse for sex toy exhibitions.
Great place to attend or host expos! We have attended several events there.
I have been going since I was very young and love it every bit as much now as I did then. What a great tradition and celebration of the West!
Really need location and I can't wait to find another reason to visit.
An annual tradition. If you've never been, change that and get here!
The shows that they have here are great, the facility itself it very dated though. It will be great to see it have an overhaul in years to come.
A variety of vendors to see not just for the cowboy/ rodeo enthusiast but for everything and everyone. Activities for the young and young at heart.
Wonderful, but a little difficult to find your way around.
Some outdated areas but they keep trying to improve. Been coming here for years and years and absolutely love it. From the rodeo, to RV shows it's always been a fun and good experience.
Confusing and vendors for the rock, fossil and minerals show wanted cash or check. Prices have risen from last year
Always a great time! Parking can be tough so plan ahead.
Greatly enjoyed SkyLab 2016, but the venue could be improved. First of all, we arrived to a sketchy-looking man with an orange flag directing us to park in a private lot, and demanding $20 per car. We later found out that the lot belonged to a local business and he just hangs out there and charges people when events go on. Entering the event, it was very hot, but it's a rave so whatever. Going up to the seats to take a break, many of them were broken/unsafe to sit on. Many of the water fountains didn't work, and someone was throwing up in the middle of the bathroom. The place needs work. Some of the stages seemed noticeably low budget. Now, this would all be as expected in a rave, and not much of a bother. However, upon leaving the concert about 10 minutes before it ended, there was no security in sight, no police either. Keep in mind, the neighborhood isn't the most friendly. Our group gets back to our vehicles to this girl trying to hop in, lifeless, and would not say a word. After trying to figure out if she was okay, we decided to bring her to the police. We walked for a half-hour before finding a firefighter who told us "good luck" when asking for someone to help her. Another 10 minutes, and we decide to go in and finally find a single officer talking with another man. He finally takes the girl, still not speaking a word. Now I will say, I had a blast here, and the artists were great! I just think the place could use a bit of general upkeep, and much, much, much, more security outside.
Great venue. There for the gem and mineral show, just awesome!
Loved the Denver County Fair, entered the competition. Didn't win but had a great time.
Lizzys treats aka german speciality foods
Doesnot waah their lemons 4 lemonade.
They employee children n illegal immigrants.
They r dirty n unsanitary
Do not purchase from them
U will get sick
Not a bad place, it's been in Denver for a long time. Could use some remodeling throughout the two buildings.
Shows are worth it if you get a good deal on tickets, but be prepared to park in the middle of nowhere. I would advise young ladies to be/stay in a big group if they can't get in the main lot to park. Parking is terrible and w/o any sort of lightning in auxillary lots. Watching Denver PD do nothing to direct traffic is terrible (blocking a street with a car and BS'n with your co-workers isn't directing traffic). Won't return until New buildings are complete as it is not worth the brain damage to park - and then get kicked off grounds after the evening shows......
