The administration of courses at the National Centre for Circus Arts is very poor, in my opinion. I've tried raising my concerns on several occasions but the responses I received were dismissive. The teaching is good but the place just lost its magic. I'm disappointed enough to go to another circus school. Luckily, that's easy in London!

Fact: At Circus Space wonderful things happen.

Fact: At Circus Space wonderful things happen.

Open since the early 1990s in what used to be a derelict electric light station, exceptionally talented students train for their degree in Circus Arts. Luckily the prestigious school has also found ways to let the public join in the fun, which is why TSL suggest signing up to an acrobatic or aerial course to replace the gym membership...

I ve had a fantastic experience with trying out their courses. The teachers are good and try and help each student to their own ability. The space is fantastic. A wonder space to work out in! Their warm ups are inventive and fun, even with large groups. I am looking forward to booking further courses

The space is nice and the whole idea of little kids and parents learning circus arts is very good. Some staff try their best but we had bad experience with administration and most of the staff in the kids lessons are not really engaged with the kids. Trying to be funny does not work if you're really not supporting these small students. One instructor even asked us during the class to move from away the trapeze so that she can show something to another kid, who seemed more engaged. Shortly after that we decided not to renew the class enrollment for another term. 00

I m 51 and scared of heights, I can t even get on a downwards escalator without pausing at the top. I did the flying trapeze with lots of help and trembling throughout. The whole day left me on a high. I was proud of myself for doing things despite being scared, but also had loads of fun and was a quick way to build arm and core strength. Whatever your age, fitness levels or your fears are about circus don t let them stop you trying this. The teachers are patient, supportive and kind.

Located in the old Shoreditch power station, this is an interesting venue dedicated to teaching circus arts to people of all ages. The atmosphere is creative and interesting and there's always something going on. The tuition is excellent for the price, but it's unfortunate that the courses are so competitive.

I thoroughly enjoyed my circus experience day and would love to do more. I'm 54 and it was heartening to be part of such a mixed group, all willing to give it a go. My favorite activity was the tightwire although the flying trapeze was pretty exhilerating. If I lived in London I'd be a permanant fixture. Thanks goes out to all the trainers for all their instruction, enthusiasm and zest.

I have two boys who have been attending kids lessons for 3+ years and they love it. Teachers are great: skilled, supportive and engaging. Bad reviews tend to be from people who can't manage to secure a space in the courses, which are extremely popular (long waiting list!). As a long term user of their services I give them 5 our of 5!
