One of the best research institutes for Biological Sciences in India. An inspiration to many young scientist. I have worked here as a Summer Intern which played an important role in decision of my career.

Very good and Butyfull place in agriculture experiments

its an awesome place for research primarily...but campus is awesome for hang out, food etc. one can only enter through valid id cards

One of the best Biological research Institute in India.

The ambience is just great. You feel like you're in an overseas Institute. As a researcher I've known NCBS as the best Institute for life sciences research in India.
The only regret is the strict security here. Though I'm an IISc Alumnus, I wasn't allowed inside unless I proved it by an ID card. I understand the necessity of this security, but I feel these rules can be a bit flexible sometimes. At IISc, any visitor can enter provided they enter their details in the register.

One of the best research institutes in the country.

Lovely green area. Quiet and peaceful. Can hear chirping birds here, at least. Cooler than most of bengalore.

This is one of the premier institution for biological sciences study and research. As tough it is to get into the institute, it is also has dedicated laboratories for new discoveries and inventions in the world of life sciences. It also has a dedicated wildlife study course in post-graduation for people interested in conservation and wildlife science.

Luscious green campus provided with peaceful work environment.. motivates people to be more around in this place. Place does make you have your own time, to roam, and spend some time out thinking about things

v.good infrastructure, mangoes are delicious, like all institutes, some faculties are good, some are average and bad. one of the very few places in India which are publishing in journals such as cell and nature. On the lower side, it is the hub for favoritism. Very nice faculties were thrown by them on the name of tenured track and few of the worst faculties are still hanging in there.
Dont write to their DBT/DST sponsored courses. As they take funding from DST/DBT on the name of all Indian institutes but select only insiders with the exception of few related candidates.

NCBS is undoubtedly the best institute for research in life Sciences. I had an awesome time at NCBS. Extremely professional and coordial environment is a big plus of NCBS.

this 1 star is for the behavior of security guards.
i am a project student at IISc for past 7 months and i live near NCBS, so i have to take NCBS shuttle everyday from IISc to come to my pg. I am well aware of the high and tight security at NCBS. but the behavior and the language of the security guards is really poor. The way they talk to the people is very rude and bad even if the other person is talking quiet softly.I have written this review after it has happened with me too many times. i hope this can be improved.

Simply one of the best biosciences research institution in India, located in Bangalore. The place has some of the best scientists in the world, with world class research on diverse fields of Biological Sciences. Great place to get a PhD from. The place also offers research services in Flow Cytometry and Confocal imaging and hosts several events for general public and researchers and young scientists. The culture and the campus are great. Friendly and engaging research culture.

It has best Quality education and research and food inside canteen very cheap and it has high high quality food

one of the worst top to middle level management I had ever seen. No place for persons with disabilities to work especially in computer section. Discrimination & harassment towards them.

It's only for the NCBS people and outsiders are not allowed without valid ID card and Permission....

Awesome infrastructure !
- They have Indoor sports arena including basketball and badminton, table tennis, squash, Foosball etc at -2 Floor.
- The canteen is super cheap.
- The garden is huge.
- The research facilities available here are at par.
- The faculty working here is awesome and talented.

One among the premium biological institute in India

One of the top premiere institutions in India nicely designed campus nestled in midst of nature they have a wonderful library, gym and sports Centre also the quality of food in the canteen is good

If you are a cyclist a jogger or even a sports man of any sport this is the place for you to spend the weekend. This massive area is divided into 2 a research area where only scientists can enter and the other part open for all. There is a lot of open space and is very quiet and pleasant around here. Here you would seriously forget the Bangalore traffic and noise. Just remember to lock you cycle and keep your belongings safe cause i lost me cycle here :p.

Superb campus. Very tight security. And liked the fact that everybody was of helping nature. Felt like a scientist myself. Thanks for the experience. Hope to go back again and do many more studies witha tie up or something.
