The Nashville Software School provides young professionals, who are without a computer science background but have a strong drive to learn, an amazing opportunity to transition into a software development career. The school provides its students with the full package needed to help them land their first job in software development: first-rate intensive training in fundamentals of front and back-end development, exposure to the latest trends in software, challenging peer programming exercises, and networking opportunities with area professionals who can help you land your first gig. I am an alumni and was hired straight out of the school on graduation. Their program just works!

I graduated NSS in 2016. It was the best decision of my life. My advice is to be the person in class that's constantly asking questions even if it's just to confirm your understanding.

Graduated in 2018 with a non technical career/school background prior to starting. Deciding to do a bootcamp at NSS completely changed my life. I am eternally grateful to have had the opportunity to learn software development through this school. I was hooked once I went to one of their info sessions.

Attending NSS is one of the best decisions I've made in my life.

Make no mistake; IT'S HARD. You'll run the gamut of emotions while in the program, but the sense of camaraderie and accomplishment you'll feel throughout the course is amazing.

Push your boundaries. Step out side your comfort zone. Ask "dumb" questions (no such thing, and I guarantee someone else in class has the same question). Go to meet-ups. PUT IN THE WORK. If I could do it, you can too.

A full time bootcamp for 6 months is a tough thing to take on, but NSS does an excellent job of helping you manage the coursework and also your mental and emotional state regarding the challenges of learning. Finishing the bootcamp is something that's a little different for each person. If you look at it as a milestone and a springboard at the same time, you'll have a healthy perspective of what you should get out of it.

I can work it into my schedule. Flexibility is key. Instructor was knowlegable, helpful, and the slack channel was as well.
