I've been an Allstate client for over 25 years and have been mostly satisfied with the service. I recently purchased a new home and had to discuss the policy with Denise in the office and to be honest, she over complicated everything to the point that I shopped another company. Does it make ANY sense that if I turn on utilities like internet/cable at my new house, that Allstate would not cover my old home, which I will still live in for another 4-6 weeks?

When I spoke with the other independent agency I quickly discovered that I was severely under insured and over charged by Allstate. My new auto coverage is with a highly rated company and we are now paying 1/2 the premium for 5X the coverage. (yes 5X) My new homeowners insurance is $500 / year lower than Allstate quoted. (and Allstate coverage was lower coverage)

Again, I am very disappointed to discover this after being an Allstate customer since 1994. Insurance does not have to be overly complicated.

Friendly and very helpful insurance office staff. Offering more than just insurance like financial services contractor list for home repairs.I feel they go above and beyond. Would recommend checking them out for your insurance needs. Had them for years and am very pleased .
