I'm glad to say that there is a new director Ms. Maria. She wants to make a difference in My Kids Academy and she will be implementing them ASAP. She cared to explain some questions about tuition that I had. There was a confusion but rectified it right away and even apologized. I believe MKA is off to a very good start this year.

My kids love it here! I have one in the infant room and a 2 year old and i have not ran into any problems! Maria the director is awesome and always keeps me up to date. Victoria is awesome as well! She sends pictures all the time and is helping potty train no matter how many accidents my two year old has! My daughter is in love with her! My infant has great teachers, they keep everything updated and send so many pictures! I am worry free when working because they let me know everything that goes on! Thank you staff!

Fantastic preschool option that accepts school readiness funding! I chose this facility for my 4 month old and 3 year old in Feb 2016 and we have been loving every moment of it. The teachers are caring and attentive. The office staff are friendly and do their absolute best to help anyway they can. The fee is a little high but what you get is worth it! Food is included (they cater to our vegetarian diet and milk allergy) and my favorite feature is the high security they offer with fingerprint check in and out.

In short, this school is safe and the staff are sweet. What more could you want?!

This is the WORST daycare center EVER. Most (but not all) of the staff members are extremely unprofessional and short-tempered with the children - and even the parents. You'll catch them being very polite to the children when you drop them off but when they think you are not looking, they treat the children like prisoners.

We have a daughter with Autism and they kept admonishing us for her strict diet - which has been approved and consistently monitored by her primary care physician and two other specialists.

They are over-priced. When they say they charge extra past 6:30 and you agree to pay the extra fee, they REALLY mean they don't want to stick around past 6:30 and treat you like a bad parent for picking up your child "so late".

When picking up my daughter after work at the time I said I would be there, the manager had the nerve to walk up to me and point her finger close to my face in a threatening manner. When I told them I was putting in my two-week notice because they wouldn't work with our daughter's special diet needs and I was tired of their harassment and the negative comments I was hearing from my daughter, they then threatened to call DCF and have me "fired" from my job. Absurd?

Wait, there's more! They then said to me, "You can't let US go. WE are disenrolling you!" Then a staff member came out and took a picture of my license plate as I was walking my daughter to my car.

This place is run by NUTS! Our daughter, who gets along with just about everyone, begged us not to take her there anymore and I can only hope that we can help others from making the same mistake we made in initially trusting this awful place.

So very disappointed with the overall experience my son had here.

At the end of the day, if your child is one of those "seen but not heard" types of kids, this is the school for you.

If your child is a typical preschooler who needs motion (and not be forced to take a 2 1/2 hour nap), lots of activities, to be challenged and not given the bare minimum in pre-k, and not be bullied relentlessly by their peers, then this is NOT the school for you.

We love MKA!

We love MKA!
As first-time parents, we checked out several daycare facilities for our baby girl. We chose MKA for several reasons, including price and proximity to our home.
But most of all, we chose them because they seemed fully dedicated to their work. Several of the teachers and caregivers had years and years of experience in child care, so we felt like our daughter would be in good hands.
We weren't disappointed. The teachers and staff at MKA love her like their own and she loves them. She is only 15 months old and has learned so much by being there and interacting with the other kids and adults.
And a huge bonus is that everyone there speaks both English and Spanish, so we feel that by the time she is ready for kindergarten she will have a huge bilingual advantage throughout her schooling!

I'm giving this 1 star because 0 is not an option....

I'm giving this 1 star because 0 is not an option. My child began the 2 year old class two weeks before his 3rd birthday, even though we were promised he could start in the 3 year old class, we were told this the morning we arrived on his first day.
Because he was sent to the 2 year old class, we were told he needed to wear pull ups because there was no bathroom (he was potty trained) and that they would walk him to the next classroom to use the potty. They did not. They actually told him to pee in his pull up and we had to start potty training all over again.
They then fired his teacher, with no notice and did not replace her for four months (could have been longer, we pulled him). They then had the audacity to raise the weekly price by $20 while providing no teacher. He was with aids and mixed with other classes.
Needless to say, we had an awful experience. The staff was polite to my face, but not helpful or concerned for my child in any way. My child learned nothing, he was taught awful habits and I ended up quitting my job and staying home with him because I lost all faith in childcare providers.

My two daughters go here, and they absolutely love it!!. The school is very clean, and I love getting the reports from the teachers on the progress of my girls. I love getting the teachers feedback, even if it is not always good. It is to help me be a better parent and raise them to be successful. Overall, I feel the the teachers here really love the kids. My oldest is getting ready for kindergarten and is all excited about learning the graduation song. Best decision I ever made!!

Our son attended My Kids from the age of 4mos to 4 yrs old. He loved every minute of it, and as parents, we couldn t have been more pleased with them. They always made us feel he was the most important child there. I saw them do this with every parent, and it was amazing. There is nothing better than feeling confident your child is in the very best of care. We loved the curriculum structure that was in place, and how every teacher at the faculty knew his name and showed genuine love. The only reason he stopped attending was because we moved out of state. Could not have had a better experience.

Kids are kids. And for a daycare they seem to forget that. My son was only there for 3 months and the experience wasn t that great. He was just finishing up his potty training and when ge first got there of course he s going to be confused with the change so his first day he had a few accidents. They immediately wanted to move him from the 3year old class back to the 2s. And he was already 3 1/2 almost ready for the 4s. No big deal I thought it shouldn t take him long. We had completely gotten rid of diapers before this point and when he was put in the 2s the teacher put him back in diapers and it completely derailed his progress. It was like starting from scratch. Christine at the front was the only one there that seemed to really care about my kids progress. While in that classroom in the 2 months he was in there he probably had about 6 different teachers. Not to mention when you walk in you never know what room your kid is in cause they seem to move them around a lot. There was no consistency and the teachers all had their different methods for training. Plus on top of that he was bored he already learned everything they were teaching in there. We finally after some progress in that class were able to move him to the 3s. He was there for 2 weeks and although he had made major progress he still was having accidents. So the teacher combined with director pulled me in for a meeting. I told them he was used to how they did things at his old school and she was basically just like well that s not how we do things here that s not how I was raised . They threatened to disenroll him if he wasn t potty trained in next two weeks. I disenrolled him myself. Horrible experience. I do not recommend.

Also update: my son has been in his new school one week now and is thriving. He had only had one accident and that was during his nap. Other then that he listens to the teacher and goes potty in the bathroom. So that tells me something was up with this school.

We love MKA! My child has been there for 3 months. From the beginning, it seems as if each staff member has taken the time to remember his name and greet him (and us) every time they see him. They are attentive and always have great energy. The kitchen and staff are awesome! Essentially home-cooked meals everyday. The covered play areas are great as well...and the Friday splash pad was fun when the weather permitted. MKA also has great activities, festivals, "parades," games, etc for the kids and families. My son loves music and we're so happy that he gets to experience the music room throughout the week. It's appreciated that the kids don't have to stay in the same room all day, every day. So far so great! We're happy!
