Pre-ordered a new guitar from Musicmaker and the guys there were super helpful. They kept me updated on the status of the guitar and were super friendly and easy to deal with. The guitar arrived today and I am delighted. I highly recommend Musicmaker, both in-store and online!

I have lived in Ireland more or less all of my life. I am a multi instrumentalist but I study drums. I have only ever found the staff in drumgeon (as they call their basement drum department) to be knowledgeable, welcoming, realistic and friendly. They really make the place feel like a resource centre reminding their locals that they may come and ask for advice, try out any instruments regardless of whether or not you make a purchase, answer your phone calls at any time to help with questions on stock or just general advice and remember they your name(very important!). Their drum products are mid to high end with practically nothing that isn't top quality professional gear and I have personally spent hundreds of euros in here and I plan to support them every step of my drumming career.

As a guitar player and singer I have been on the ground floor and upstairs relatively frequently. They are very polite and allow me to try out instruments or ask advice, although I can't really say much about this as I don't have major dealings with these floors. Still, very nice people I think and the gear seems to be of an obviously high standard.

Overall I would say go in there and get a chat started, get to know these guys and they will look after you for all of your musical journey!

Why can't all music shops be this chilled and inviting. The drumming dude was up for a conversation not pushing any hard sell, clearly they love what they do and the passion is visible. Unfortunately only being here in Dublin on holiday I couldn't purchase any items due to only carry on luggage.

Extremely happy with my purchase from Musicmaker. Price was great, delivery was speedy, and my bass was in perfect condition. I had a great time in MUSICMAKER buying some gear in the 2018 sale. I popped in the day before the sale looking for a keyboard, DI box and microphone. Danny was great, he took me through different options and helped me decide on what suited me best. I queued up on sale day and it was great craic. Got a coffee and a breakfast bap from the lads as well.

Such a great team of friendly people, very passionate about their work, very knowledgeable. The shop is a musician's paradise. The '21 drums' drum camp organized by musicmaker was a life changing and memorable experience for me, thanks to the incredible hard work that they put in for the fruition of their idea. Brought my guitar in to get restrung and setup as was having trouble with Floyd Rose bridge. Left it in for 2 hours and came out perfect

Looking for guitar strings and Musicmaker got them to me really quickly. Their site doesn't take online payment but a n email was responded to promptly and customer service was excellent.

The order was prcessed and carried out quickly and with co stant updates on the time and date of the delivery it made the service very comfortable to use... and a plus they are a local Irish business.

Best music shop in Dublin, bar none. The guys know their stuff and are very welcoming. The old hipster "uhh we know better than you" vibe is long gone... The staff couldn't be nicer and easier to deal with. They will always look after you and they provide expert tips and advice also that you just don't get from an online shop. They match online too as far as I know so support local, support an excellent shop, and buy here. No better place to buy music in Dublin. :-)

A really nice music instruments store. It is just clean and sweet. The staff are really friendly and nice. I like the fact that they themselves are musicians, so they understand your need very easily. Their products are a bit on the pricy side, however.

No at all helpful when it comes to exchanging faulty items would not recommend this music shop very bad experience today my son bought a alesis sample pad 4 a couple of months ago and it was faulty brought it back left waiting for 3 weeks it couldn't be fixed so it was replaced 2 weeks later the replacement unit starts showing same issues went into the store explained what was wrong the unit was needed for a gig asked for money back and was told we can't as we don't keep cash the unit was 200 I'm sure every shop has a minimum cash amount in store for incidents staff member to whom I spoke with was not all accommodating and thought the least that could have and should have been done was a refund as it was the second successive unit of the same brand to fail within 2 weeks of being supplied to my son and left him with no machine for his gig or money to buy a replacement elsewhere DISGRACEFUL SERVICE WILL NOT BE RETURNING OR RECOMMENDING

Went in to enquire about a Mooer Green Mile pedal, the member of staff upstairs helped me out immensely by setting up a demo unit and allowing me to select a guitar from the wall to test it with. Very helpfull and friendly staff.

Bought an electric drum kit here for my husband. The guy who served me was very friendly and knowledgeable, he even carried the box up to the front door for me, and asked a colleague to help load it in to a taxi.

Highly recommended Music Maker. I'm not a musician by any means, but on the occasion I have found myself in this shop everyone has been so helpful. There is no snobbery like you can get in other music shops in Dublin.

Guitar ordered Wed afternoon, arrived next day - kudos for speed!

For the low-end price range, it is a decent instrument. Easy to tune, and sounds better than some other guitars I used to play.

Also, their online customer support is extremely helpful and responsive.

Overall, highly recommended.

We had such a great experience today buying our son's first electric guitar (Fender Squire) and amp from Dave in Musicmaker. Dave was extremely helpful and gave intuitive practical advice as well as a skillful demonstration of the guitar and amp features. We left the shop not only thrilled with our purchases but knowing we have somewhere we will enjoy going back to for music advice and purchases into the future!
