This was our (mine and my 2 kids) first time experiencing all that The Museum of Life and Science had to offer and we had a blast! There's so much to do; you could literally spend all day there.

Nice museum with a good mix of indoor and outdoor activities. Younger kids will especially like the train ride (extra cost) and the tree house area. Alot of already activities to do and provides a nice walking area with the family.
Love to take my grandchildren there. It's worth getting a membership and having that extra hour in the morning to check in before they open the door for the rest of the population.
Children will definitely like this museum with both indoor and outdoor activities. On this beautiful 70 degree day we explored for about 2 hours. There are so many children s areas that you could spend 4 or more hours and keep them busy (bring a lunch to eat at picnic areas or purchase something from the cafe). There is a farm area with some animals to view, several play areas, some where they can splash in falling water or play in a stream. Multiple tree houses, hammocks and areas to explore. There is a train (additional ticket required).
Other special attractions are bears, wolves, lemurs, a large area with dinosaurs (egg hunting was available as their fund raiser). The butterfly exhibit was what we were interested in, but it fell short with the limited number of butterflies and the relatively small area. Be prepared it is very warm and humid. Another display included insects which are not my thing, but the large cockroaches and assassin bugs were impressive.
Admission is a little steep at $24 adult and $18 child. Plus any add ons like the train. Membership is available and would be a good investment if you live nearby.
We loved the amenities and exhibitions, the museum overall was great. What we did not like was that we purchased a 3 pm ticket and they closed at 5 pm. 2 hours were not enough at all and we could not see or do everything. Also, they were playing the mask police now that all covid restrictions are disappearing... a bit too much!
My son loved the stress test, making origami frog, seeing the dust mites, making a stop-motion movie, looking at the butterflies. Our top favorite was probably the ant farm. Very cool!
This is a great place to take young children. It is much larger than we anticipated. We went late morning and spent 5-6 hours with lunch mixed in and didn't get to see everything before they closed. We tried getting train tickets later in the day but they were sold out. If you want to ride, make sure to get those tickets early. If you live nearby, it is well worth it to get the full membership.
This is an amazing place and not just for curious kids, but also for grown ups. My advise is that you allocate at least 3 hours if you want to spend time at most exhibits or may be even get a membership if you are local. We allocated 2 hours and it was not enough to visit all corners. The place is very clean and well maintained. The exhibits are interesting and inspire questions. I would visit even though we live 4 hours away.
Wow this place is awesome! This outdoor walking park has numerous exhibits and engaging activities for the kids. The move earth exhibit and into the mist both have water (and sand at one) elements so pack a change of clothes! Our kids 1yo to 8yo had a great time. The cafe had good food (fries were yummy), and you could cool off in the insect/butterfly exhibit. There was a decent amount of walking, though it s all paved so a wheelchair/strollers would do fine. There are picnic tables to bring your own food and the restrooms were clean. The water bottle/water fountain stations were great for just bringing your own jug. We were there for 3-4 hours twice and didn t make it through everything.
It worth my money and time! My kids loved this place! We got an annual membership since we love this place and plan to come back here at least twice a year. Nature and Science for my kids are here! Compare to marble kids museum, you can have more wildlife and outdoor experience for sure!
Took my son here for a Sunday outing. He really wanted to see the butterflies. He had a great time there, plus see the farm animals and playing in the indoor play area. There were tons of things we didn't get to do because the place was so big. I will definitely go back, because it's a great way to entertain a young child.
