Musée International de la Parfumerie Review

Very nice museum in Grasse, of you're even remotely interested in perfumes this is a must see, there's a lot to see and learn here so take your time and by that I mean at least 2 to 4 hours for a complete visit. You'll learn about materials, ingredients and procedures used to extract scent from everything (both natural and chemical) to make wonderful fragrances, at the end of the exhibit there's also a showcase of the most known perfume makers where you can taste some of their signature scents. Had a great time!

The museum is very large and very interesting! I particularly appreciated the guided olfactory tour at 3 p.m. and the large timeline of perfumes.

Very interesting, despite the fact that we could not have access to the antiques part (due to renovation) the visit was very pleasant. We were able to see the different perfumery techniques, but also smell more strange smells (cocaine, opium, ...)

To see to know everything about the origin and manufacture of perfumes by cons at the exit there is a shop and the saleswoman is not kind

A wonderful place for connoisseurs of perfumery. You will see a lot of new and interesting things here: the components of perfumes, testing of different smells, the development of world perfumes. Cool!!!

We learn a lot about the making of perfume. Grasse is a very pretty little town. Magnificent view

Very interesting and very educational place. We will go back there because the antique collection was closed but the price of the entrance adapted to mid-price, which is commendable!

To see in rainy weather. I expected other things: more about the creation of the perfume. There it is more an exhibition of beautiful objects or on odors (plants etc). It is not a must!

I had much more expectation about the museum, the truth is that I was a little disappointed, although the information it contains is interesting

Super typical place and a must-see. It is free and you can see an old perfume factory, and the materials and utensils used for its manufacture.

It is excellent idea. I am using perfumes and was looking forward to visit this museum, however it did not click for me. I think they have a lot of stuff to show and share but they need to reorganise this museum some how. I l left with very little memories of what was there which was very disappointing for me. Nevertheless I would recommend to visit this museum as it is unique.

not particularly exciting for children, there is a lot to smell, the museum is pretty run down, the fragrance gardens not well-kept many plants dried up.

A waste of 30 minutes and 4 euros in a very limited museum. Very little content

It is very thorough on all aspects regarding scent even the time before the modern age of perfume. The gardens are quite neat and the cost of only 4 for the entry super low.
If you are a fragrance lover this will give you great insights on all aspects of this vast industry.
Due to the corona pandemic not all interactive content is accessible, note that. The visit is still totally worth it

A wonderful trip to the heart of the perfume .. Go there .. Very complete and inexpensive !!

Visit under pressure because if I take my time and find myself next to the guide I get yelled at! In olus she spoke of a book that I know by heart so good ... I was not going to steal her precious knowledge.
In any case, its aggressive and contemptuous attitude does not make the museum a welcoming place.

Great museum but the fact that the coronavirus period prevents you from smelling takes away a little interest in the visit ...

I visited the museum and I was very happy, soaps are produced inside the factory, the staff is very kind and speaks good Italian, the scents are very good.

A wonderful historical and artistic journey in a sumptuous setting

C est ma favorite, because of the film "Perfume" and the town where I got acquainted with the love of perfume, I will definitely stay there for a while if I have the opportunity.

There was a lot to see here. Please be careful if you are sensitive to smells. It has a ton of information and is a great way to spend the day. 5 floors if I remember correctly. Worth the stop.

Fun museum to discover, the history of Grasse, the creation of perfumes and the universe that goes with it.

Here you are really interested, plan time because this museum is big. Rich of many objects and information .. games on smells riddles ... to see

The production of Parfum is very well described. You can see the stages step by step. The fragrances. The tools used in manufacturing from the past to the present day and the bottled ones afterwards.

Paid, not seen 1/3 of the expo because works.
Same thing at Fragonard with a guide and free admission.

I do not recommend, it is not interesting, it is good that the ticket price is acceptable, not too high (behind the glass you will see old jars of perfume and feel a few flavors)

Worth paying 3 for the visit. It also has some fun games in between which will help you remember the displayed items better :)

Unfortunately the smell of the handicap bothers the three young women at the reception. The vision of a wheelchair was for these three "graces" an insurmountable welcome. They discouraged us from starting the visit. Hello welcome: the perfume museum: it stinks ...... discrimination !!! .....

Here you can discover the history of the perfume from antiquity to today, an interactive museum that appeals to both children and adults. On leaving, visit the old streets of Grasse enjoying a delicious fougasse with orange blossom. I recommend.

We arrived at the museum at 6:58:59 p.m. and were asked to turn around in an ungainly fashion. The reception agent was already counting his boxes and the security guard complained about visitors who did not want to leave the museum on time. Have they both forgotten that without a visitor they no longer have a job! Regretful attitudes for the image of perfumery, and the city of Grasse. We came from afar for the visit and this attitude leaves us with a bitter taste of a museum which calls itself "international" but whose staff attitude is unprofessional. Behind at least three people were also turned back in the same tone. And if the reception is no longer admitted after 6 p.m., write it down clearly and don't leave the doors open! In times of Covid when we have to play the game and help tourism, it's shocking!
