Over the years, we have grown from a small collection of books housed in a single room into a modern facility with over 200,000 items in our collection. Our Services
At Murray Public Library, we offer a wide range of services designed to meet the needs of our patrons. Whether you're looking for books or movies to borrow or need help with research or technology questions, we've got you covered.
Some of our most popular services include:
- Borrowing materials: We have an extensive collection of books (both print and digital), audiobooks, DVDs/Blu-rays, music CDs/vinyl records available for checkout.
- Research assistance: Our librarians are available both in-person and online via chat/email/phone call during business hours (Monday-Saturday)to help you find reliable sources for your research projects.
- Technology assistance: We offer free Wi-Fi access throughout our building as well as computer workstations equipped with Microsoft Office Suite software. If you need help using any technology-related tools or software programs like Zoom/Skype etc., just ask one of our staff members!
- Children's programming: We offer storytimes/reading clubs/crafts/games etc., designed specifically for children ages 0-12 years old.
- Adult programming: We host book clubs/discussion groups/writing workshops/presentations on various topics like health/wellness/history/science etc., open for adults aged 18+.
Our Resources

If you're looking for something specific that we don't have in our collection, we can help you find it through interlibrary loan (ILL). ILL is a service that allows us to borrow materials from other libraries across the country/world if they are not available in our own library.
We also offer access to several online databases like Ancestry.com/Lynda.com/Consumer Reports etc., which provide valuable information on various topics like genealogy/business/health etc., free of charge with your library card.
Our Events
