I was brought to the emergency dept. and the care was good except the nurse call button didn't work. I was later transferred to an observation room where the service was excellent. My thanks to Sam, Marc. Ashly, Emerald and everyone else who helped me, sorry I can't remember names. Thank You!!

Needed a procedure in outpatient and was a little concerned after a couple reviews. However, I m not certain where they came from. From the immediate signin, to the young lady who escorted me through the maze to the outpatient dept .all was easy and guiding. The ladies did their utmost to monitor vitals, and ask and answer questions. I could also overhear conversations with other patients that were reassuring and thorough. They aspirated a couple thyroid nodules and Phil made sure I understood the procedure. Sure, these things are never fun but thank you all for making it a comfortable experience. I would not hesitate to return.

AVOID this hospital. I had high hopes for my mother s care since the surgery and night crew were great. The day time staff is a whole other story. We had a terrible experience with the TimberRidge ER so we were so disappointed that the next shift was right in line with the first experience. Complete lack of communication between nurses and staff and completely different stories from everyone. We lost count how many different staff came in asking the same questions over and over with no discussion of plan of action. It took a meltdown on my part to get clarity on when my mother can leave once a nurse started doing pre op testing for a surgery she already had. She recommended we get the nurse in charge and demand a doctor give us answers since they re ordering expensive tests. We asked more than once to speak to nurse leader or patient advocate and they kept giving us the run around. Once doctor returned we explained the concern of different stories and multiple staff giving opinions or making comments without actual facts just more testing. The doctor then stated if she was his family he would discharge her but as a physician he needs to wait for results. Shortly after they said discharge orders were made. My mother wasn t asked to sign the discharge paperwork so I pray they don t make false claims. 45 min to get a wheelchair because the nurses lied about calling it in, and we found that out when the teen volunteer came and told us no one ever called until we questioned another nurse about it. We will contacting the Florida board as the lack of training is evident and the concern for unnecessary expensive care will be disputed. The automated responses I see on reviews regarding a surge due to Covid is confusing as I saw multiple available rooms and unorganized triaging .

My son and I had a truly exceptional experience at Advent Health Ocala! What could have been a miserable 2 days ended up being enjoyable for my 5 year old son. The doctors we had were great! The two nurses we had, Tina (overnight) and Belinda went above and beyond to make him comfortable! I really want to shoutout the child specialist people (sorry, I forget to correct term!) for making it to where he had so many different things to do while he was there! While leaving, my son had so many mixed emotions because while he was excited to go home, he said he was going to miss the hospital staff! This isn t even our local hospital, we live almost an hour away but this will always be our first choice from now on if we ever need to come back! May God continue to bless this hospital!

Took my newborn here for fever. Wound up being covid positive. They sent us home after a swab. Litterally rushed us out the door after. Took him home then hours later he us at a 101 temp. We call the hospital and they say do not bring him in as there is nothing that can be done. His ped recommend us to take him to shands, shands admitted him, with oxygen, iv etc. Glad we seeked a second opinion. I will not be bringing my children here in the future.

Ok, so I am finally able to write a good review on a visit to a local hospital in Ocala. On 9.7.21 my wife was admitted into Advent Hospital in Ocala to have our son, who was born on 9.9.21 and discharged on 9.11.21. Not only was the entire experience a pleasant one, but the ladies working in the delivery department are truly exceptional, they went far and beyond in bringing our child into the world! Thank you so much! I highly recommend this hospital to anyone for any reason.

Everyone here is so rude and bitter. The only Who has made me smile since I got here what is the phlebotomist Bryan. The rest of your staff needs to learn empathy and how to deal with those in need emotionally as well as physically. The second ask the receptionist desk to the second you check out every staff member u see is rude. DO NOT GO TO THIS HOSPITAL

If I had a choice I would not have had my partner taken to this hospital. He was admitted last night from ER. He went all night with only one cup of water. Here it is 24 hrs later and he is still in his street cloths. Not one nurse has offered a gown. He was brought lunch and had to wait an hour for a tray so he could eat, the meal consisted of a Turkey sandwich and grapes. Unfortunately I am handicapped and can t get up there or I would be in Admins office. right now. The administration needs to be on the ball and watch what is and isn t being done here. If things change I will change my star value here. Right now if I could give less than a one I definitely would!
