The menu had a good variety of flavorful options, but was lacking items that didn t involve animal abuse or abused animals. Not that I expected the place to have several vegan options. But the resistance from the chef to accommodate a vegan dish felt like a punishment for not agreeing with animal abuse. The server and manager were helpful and the food that resulted was delightful! So definitely give it a try, even if you re a vegan. They ll wise up for next time I m sure.

I was able to bring a friend that likes older venues but had never been to M's. I've been going there forever & was pleased to see that they kept the same look as before the fire. My Greek sandwich was fantastic as always. I love the spring mix salad with raspberry vinaigrette that, I believe, they make in house. Both the sandwich bread and the rolls are made in house, too. My friend is vegetarian & I knew that their menu would not disappoint. A great meal.
Anti kids? Did we look too poor to eat here? Why did this restaurant tell us there would be a several hour wait with no line and open tables? So sad that we we were excited to come to this place during our vaca only to be shown we don t deserve to sit at the cool kids table.
The outdoor patio and gorgeous weather we experienced while visiting M's Pub last evening was top notch and consistent with my high expectations for M's Pub. However, our server was overwhelmed and the food was just ok. We attempted to order the Smoked Trout as an appetizer, which was listed at the top of their specials for the night, but they were out. Then I tried to order a glass of sauvignon blanc but they were out of this too. Before we could attempt to order again, our server took the guessing out of it and pointed out a few other items listed on the menu to avoid ordering because they were also out of those. We ended up having the crab cakes as an app. Another server brought them to our table without appetizer plates so we tried to request two but nobody was to be found. So instead of let them get cold, we opted to eat off the single plate in the middle of the table which was a little awkward and messy. My husband ordered a burger cooked medium, it came out well done; again, no one was to be found to send it back and we had a show to catch at Holland Center at 730 pm so we did not have time to wait for someone to show up and fix the issue. I had a small side salad with shrimp added. I had one glass of Rose and he had 2 glasses of beer with dinner then one glass of port each with dessert. Our server gave us a free dessert (worth $6) and sincerely apologized for the ill-cooked burger and fact that he was so busy. We felt bad for him. Our bill came to $89. I enjoyed the atmosphere and location very much but the food and service fell short. Not certain we will dine here again, maybe drinks on the patio but that's probably about it.
M's Pub is like an old friend. I've been going there for over 45 years. When the fire happening, I think I was in mourning at first, but they restored it to it's grandeur. M's has the best New England claim chowder in the world. Don't get a cap, order a bowl.
Not impressed. Service was great, food was ok. Sandwich was just ok. Nothing spectacular. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't like "in my gosh you got to try this place" kind of awesome.
The food was okay, but the prices for what I had for supper was pretty high. We sat at the high tables along the side, and occasionally as people walked by I felt like their sleeves were going to drag in our food or knock off our glasses.
A little disappointing, not sure what all the hype is about. Service was very slow and no visible management during the lunch hour watching over the guest experience. No one even acknowledged we waited over 30 minutes for a side salad. Not the friendliest service staff. Food was lacking.
Always a fantastic meal, in the heart of the old market. Great atmosphere and my only struggle was trying to decide what to order, everything looked good on the menu. Excellent staff was able to help make the decision with knowledgeable recommendations.
There are definitely fancier places to eat in Omaha but I seriously doubt that there are any places that are more friendly than here. In the food is delicious in the one list is excellent. Our party of four for dinner had pot roast, scallops, ossobuco, steak and escargot. Everybody loved everything. The 2009 Rioja was a bargain and outstanding. I went back on my own for lunch the day after hoping to try the foie gras but it turns out that his only served at dinner time so I had a tuna melt which was just dandy and a glass of Chianti which is the bargain of the wine list by glasses. $10 bucks a glass for a wine that costs $48 bucks a bottle. There are other $10 glasses of wine that cost $38 a bottle. I highly recommend M s Pub.
Ms aaalmost has it all. Great food, great service, convenient hours -- you will be hard pressed to find a better set down meal anywhere as late as Ms is open. It is a bit on the pricy side but you gotta pay for quality sometimes.
Love downtown and love the decor and story behind M's. Charcuterie board needs serious work and waiters should be telling you what the cheeses and and meats are. Add a gourmet mustard and less cheap nuts and dried fruit. Fresh fruit is always good, but maybe try adding something pickled. Pickled grapes are surprising and delicious! Also goat cheese! Order the whole artichoke and a salad. Best options there tbh.
Great food, pleasant, covid-compliant staff, good beer, great air-conditioning. What's not to like? Omaha is full of friendly people.
Ona humorous note, I misunderstood my wife when she ordered the Florentine Lavash; I thought she had ordered "Quarantine" Lavash, and could not imagine what that could possibly be.
I've eaten there once for lunch and once for dinner. Both were delicious. The primary menu appears to be available lunch and dinner. Had a pork chop from the pricier dinner specials menu and it didn't dissapoint - came served with a jam and a sauce that had big flavor. Will have to make it a regular stop when I'm visiting Omaha
A really great place to dine. Really good food, drinks, and service. I would recommend that you go walk around the Old Market Area, shop, and have a few drinks. Then end your day at M's Pub with delicious food favorites and a nice bottle of wine. Ray W from CB. Ia.
We had 8 o'clock reservations. We were seated in less than 1 min when we arrived. Our waitress was super nice. The place was packed with tons of local young professionals. Very metropolitan crowd. The food was good for the price but not as good as it could have been for reservations. I did have a Moscow Mule that was epic. Great place to people watch or meet other folks. It is a place to be seen. If the food had been more bold it would be an easy 5 star.
They were extremely busy. We tempered our expectations of getting our meal in a timely manner and were pleasantly surprised at how fast and delishious everything was. The staff was delightful and professional Ps try the baked escargot, amazing. 10/10 will visit sooner rather than later
Really just coasting on reputation at this point. The regular menu is pretty much chain restaurant choices and the specials menu is nearly double the price of other high quality Omaha restaurants, but without matching quality. Unless you've nostalgia reasons or some such I'd go elsewhere.
Excellent atmosphere. Apps and dessert were on point. Salads could have been a bit better presented and mixed. Service was very attentive. Overall enjoyed, but would opt for the more expensive entrees.
M's Pub was absolutely delicious. The buffalo chicken soup was sublime without disappointment. Great service and an even better look. Would reccomend to anyone.
The satay was amazing! We sat at the bar and could not have had better service. Food cooked to perfection and the carrot cake dessert was moist. It was served with a side of homemade butter pecan ice cream that was amazing.
