You can spend hours trying to get through via phone. My good record was 3 hours. Now they just have the system set up to take three calls and tell everyone else to call later. If you want to know what s wrong with our education system, start with the office of licensure.
A ridiculous state agency that needs massive budget cuts and be shut down eventually. Our public schools are pathetic hellholes ran like prisons. I'm tired as hell of paying taxes to keep them open. Shut them down, get rid of truancy laws, and let people live how the hell they want. The stuff being taught in public schools you won't ever need in real life unless you get into those specialized occupations. But most people don't get into those so schooling is an utter waste.
Although I did have to wait on hold for about 30 minutes before speaking with someone, the staff member was very helpful in answering my questions about renewing my expired teaching license and directing me in how I can obtain those CEUs quickly online through PBS. Very helpful!
