Friendly and caring staff, the residents look happy, good food.

I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. My stepfather is there because it accepts va benefits, but he is only in that place so he can be close to my mother so she can visit. The staff treat him horrible. if he rings for help, they usually ignore him. They overlooked he and his roomates dinner the other day and when questioned about it they said they were sorry and gave them a piece of pie and a milk. He has fallen twice because he has sat in his wheelchair so long I'm sure they forgot about him, he has back pain and can't sit long, he tried to get up his self and fell. I wish i knew where to report them, they need some serious clean up at that place. the supervisors are aware of our complaints, but i have seen no improvement.

My mother-in-law received excellent care when she was at Mt. Washington Care Center. Everyone was extremely helpful and were very detail oriented. I highly recommend Mt. Washington Care Center.

My Mother was at this facility for over two years and she received great care! The Nurses were very friendly. I came in to visit her all the time so I was very aware of her care they provided. She really enjoyed the activities and the food was great. It was difficult decision to place my Mother in a nursing home, but I am glad I chose Mt. Washington Care Center. I would highly recommend them. I know why they are a 5 star rated facility. They cared for my Mother in a way our family could not.

So glad we checked out mount Washington care center thru a friend everyone has been very helpful and courteous to mother and she enjoys the attention it's close by so we visit often thanks

MWCC is awesome! Great nurses who really care. Very clean and lots of activities. The residents there are part of a family and it shows! Our loved one has been there 2 years now and we are so happy we picked MWCC.

My grandpa stayed here and it was an amazing experience for him and we certainly enjoyed the hospitality and care we received. Great staff!!

My grandmother has recently transitioned into this facility. As with any change, there were some issues at first, but after meeting with the heads of the department, our concerns were heard and corrected. The staff that works with my grandma are very kind to her, some of the staff do act inappropriately and residents could receive better care of cell phones were kept off of the unit. Professionally speaking, cell phones have no business in a work place.
The one major complaint that our family has about the facility, is parking.
In order for all of her family to be near her and able to visit, we placed her in the middle of her children. I myself drive an hour to visit. No matter what time I visit, morning, afternoon, evening, I struggle to find a parking spot. Today after an hour drive in the pouring rain, no parking. Called the center to ask about additional parking, to be told, sometimes we are just full. The downside to this comment is that I visit 2-3 times a week, and there never appears to be that many visitors. Perhaps staff need a designated parking location so that families are able to visit with their loved ones.

When we placed mom there in January the staff was caring and wonderful. By October we were not at all impressed. There had been a huge turnover in staff and many were just putting in their time and not caring. The facility started smelling horrible and moms wheelchair was never washed after her accidents. It was disgusting. Our family would no longer recommend it.

I am writing this review to let others know what my experiences have been at Mt Washington care center so they can make an informed decision when choosing this nursing home. The facility is short staffed so much so that after letting the aide know my stepdad needed to be changed she informed me that it was mealtime and he would have to sit in his feces till she was done passing trays! This is NEGLECT! Since when does the need to pass a tray supercede patient care!! I then waited over an hour and a half while I watched her pass out trays and then start over to collect them before she came to change him. Has anyone at this facility ever heard of SKIN BREAKDOWN???? I was also told after a care conference by a social worker that if my stepdad had to be taken to VA emergency room that day the doctors there "wouldn't be happy" and that if we requested that he go there to manage his pneumonia and extremely high blood sugars my stepdad would not be allowed to come back there. This is INTIMIDATION!! They obtained chest xray and labs only after our persistence and demanding! There are countless other inadequacies and these are just a few of my experiences at this place and if it were up to me I would 've had him out of this place a long time ago!

So after posting my review that this care center didn't like the administrators wanted to have a meeting. Let me be VERY clear, there were NO MISUNDERSTANDINGS on my part from our previous care conference meeting, which is what the DON claimed. My stepfather was finally taken by ambulance to the hospital ER where he is appropriately being cared for. He had CRITICAL labs and SEVERELY dehydrated among other medical issues that had not been addressed while at this facility even after it was brought to their attention! Because of the medical staffs inability to recognize a deteriorating patient in their care and seek help for him in a timely fashion my stepdad has been seriously set back both in his rehabilitation and medically. I pray he can get back to his baseline and feel better soon!

My great aunt stayed at the care center, not only did she have a great experience but so did we. The staff was amazing and caring to both her and us.

This facility has provided exceptional care for many years to the Mt Washington community. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and truly care about the people they care for.

My mother has lived at this at this Care Center for over 11 years. We have been so pleased and have felt comfortable with her in the care of the nurses and aides and all the incredible people who look after her daily. The office staff are always open to take your calls and assist you when the need is there. My mom especially likes the activities and parties and the bright color decorations at holiday time. Keep up the good work Mt. Washington Care Center.

Mount Washington Care Center is a lovely facility with even lovelier people! Good food, great rooms, excellent service. And don't get me started on that Encore Rehab Team! Best therapy east of the Mississippi (and probably west of it too), hands down. They'll get you back on your feet and they'll look good doing it too!

Dementia patients are placed on the 2nd floor which is dirty, smelly and short-staffed. The nurses are good but some of the aides are terrible! My mom is there & i am desperately trying to relocate her.

My name is Debbie, I have been at Mt. Washington Care Center for 41 years. I am very close to retirement, I am torn about leaving. I will be leaving MY family. It has been an honor to take care of my Residents to see their smiles and to be there to help them. I work among some of the best employees, they all do their best to help make the residents feel like this is there home. MWCC is a great place to work. I also had my mother and sister there and the care they were given was wonderful.

I truly can not imagine how anyone can give this facility less than 5 stars. My mother is cognitively sharp so we are fortunate that while we can t visit we know that she would report to us anything that wasn t top notch. She raves about the care, the food and the therapy! From the perspective of the adult child making the decisions/ every single person I have spoken to has been kind, efficient and knowledgeable. On my Initial contact with Ken he took care of the red tape then chatted with me about suggestions to make her feel connected in the time of COVID. The business manager Sarah is knowledgeable beyond compare and will lead you through Medicare/Medicaid. Aimee, administrative assistant ( also package delivery gal ) is patient with all my questions and cheerful when accepting numerous meal and package deliveries. During one of the most difficult decisions adult children can navigate - this IS the team you want!

Would highly recommend this facility. All the staff is very friendly and they took great care of my mom. The therapy team is awesome, they got my mom back home and she loved working with them!
