Mount Washington Alpine Resort Review

Great easy layout with all the amenities close at hand. Ski staff were great and super helpful! Definitely returning!

As Van Islands main skiing destination, there's a lot to experience on this mountain. They've got everything from gentle sloped runs for those brand new to the Alpine world up to double black diamond runs down the back of the mountain for the most experienced skiers and snowboarders. The Lodge offers both a full service restaurant and self-service cafeteria, a bar, and rental facility, and kids can enjoy a day of snow tubing, too.

Absolutely stoked to have had a full season this year. With all that is going on, they did a great job to keep things running.
Life changer for sure.

Our first visit. The resort is very well organized - starting at parking, equipment service and ticket delivery. Staff are helpful and friendly. We were greeted and accommodated at every lift and service location. I love the enclosed carpet lifts for beginners. Such a great idea to keep people warm and safe. My daughter is taking up snowboarding after a four year break and she was very happy. Grooming on the runs was well done. Overall a great first experience. We will return as soon as we can.

Drove up on a beautiful sunny day. Great road. Outdoor burger stand was nice. Not very crowded. Nice way to spend a few hours.

Really does have a great variety of terrain, tons of snow, but the coastal snow is usually pretty wet and heavy. Tons of it though! The bottom hawk chair tends to get big lineups, but the other chairs are generally good.

Amazing experience, great atmosphere. Took my level 1 ski lessons, the instructor Renice was so helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend for a fun adventure day. $19.99 for a tube ride. $99 for using the eagle eye lift whole day to go up and ski.

Excellent place to spend the day with your family. The ski hill is run very well, with lots of staff and help. The lessons are helpful and reasonably priced. There are tons of runs for lots of skill levels. Beautiful view from the top of the hill, world-class views. I recommend spending a couple of nights and trying the night skiing.

Overall great family fun and holiday! Brilliant way to learn snowboarding and progress further up the Mountain. The Snowboarding, snow and mountain was EPIC!! The accommodation - Deer Lodge Room 104 cracked wall from heavy snowfall but otherwise room and staff were excellent/underground parking and storage for gear awesome! Fire Drill 8March poorly managed! Food at Ted's - Caesar Photo Bland, Wonton Soup (soup and veges great but wontons were stale and rubbery), staff service excellent! But, we would definitely come back - recommendations sent to Mount Washington Alpine Resort and Deer Lodge - NO RESPONSE!

Don t miss it! Awesome back country off the Boomerang and more than enough trails to keep you entertained. Lines are manageable and fast, stay away from the hawk in busy times - too many people compared to the eagle! Split on a 6-pack with your friends and get outside; Mount Washington is not a waste.
