As a Mount graduate, the education I received prepared me for leadership roles ahead. The values instilled have proved invaluable. Although I may not have appreciated at the time, my mom's decision to send me to the Mount was an investment in me. Caring staff. Phenomenal educators. Best decision!

In 2010, I transferred to the Mount and didn't have any problem adjusting. Everyone was so friendly and I felt welcomed into to their family. My previous school was very cold and I felt isolated there so it was such a huge relief to go to school everyday and be with such amazing people. Not only that, but I learned so much every single day. The teachers are incredible and really push you to be your best. The transition from high school to college was made so easy because I felt more than prepared. One of the best schools in the area.

These four formative years of my life were challenging at times yet I wouldn t trade the experience at the Mount for anything. This school prepares me not just for college but for life. It shaped me as a woman, as a mother, as a conscious soul, and the bonds made have lasted decades.

I am an alum of Mount Saint Dominic Academy and want to bring attention to the change that mount so desperately needs. There are many less than pleasant experiences that the students of color, specifically black students, at this school have endured for decades. I am calling for the administration to actively participate in conversations with students of color and alumna so that we can work together to make mount a place were everyone can succeed, not just some better than others.

Administration refusing to change and adapt to diversity, inclusion, and ultimately empathy. Ignoring the basic needs of students, particularly minorities, LGBTQ+, and other marginalized groups as they see fit. The experience has been defined as traumatic by many girls.

My daughter had a really positive experience at this school but every time there was a concert she wasn't allowed to sing lead vocals even though she had an amazing voice. For some reason they always chose this other girl who I didn't rate very highly and, unlike my daughter, was very unlikely to go on and make a career out of her singing.

Both of my daughters attended and graduated from Mount Saint Dominic Academy. "Empowering Young Women" is not just a tagline, rather, it well describes the very positive transformation that my daughters underwent at the school. They developed into mindful, self-confident and socially conscious women who are fully engaged -- in their studies, their jobs and with others.
