Nice one hour guided tour. A great look back at how and where Motown was started and the individuals involved. Love the history of the Gordy family. Enjoyed the tour of the living quarters and Studio A. Tour Guide Jordan kept us entertained and made it interactive.

Hard to describe it, when you make a pilgrimage... Videos, photos, artifacts...then...you get to go into the studio. Motown Studio A. Every single song from 1959-1972 on every Motown affiliated label was recorded here. I kissed the studio door, knowing it had been touched by Stevie, Smokey, Diana, Michael, Marvin, Martha... Maybe a trace of DNA was there...

FANTASTIC! Our tour guide was friendly and very knowledgeable about the artists and history of how Motown came to be. Ticket prices are very reasonable as well. A must-see for any music fan!

Just so much history and information packed all in one hour amazing! I finally got to see the place where it all started and legends were born. Also I would suggest buying tickets online because it is first come first serve and they tend to sell out fast especially if you visit on a weekend.

Wonderful tour. Our guide was spirited, knowledgeable, and sweet. Definitely worth the price of admission. The gift shop had many interesting items, and we purchased several. If you are a true music fan, please add this to your to do list.

We are looking forward to the museum addition, and will return in the near future.

PS The area is very pretty now. So wonderful to see.

Buy your tickets beforehand. Cannot stress this enough. We got lucky and got the last tickets for the day. The tour was very interesting and our tour guide was top notch. She was entertaining and made the tour more memorable. You can only take pictures in the actual studio and outside. It s crazy to think how much history was made in this small space.

spirit! the presentation, sounds, and feelings here are authentic and impactful. this history bears retelling. they are adding space soon (still keeping the old!) which is very much needed- it's pretty cramped *and* popular. i look forward to their growth.

If you haven't been here, you really should make the time to go. Learned lots and had a great time. Go with a friend and enjoy a walk down memory lane. Reasonably priced. $10.00 for seniors, $15.00 regular.

What a fantastic gem. I scheduled a group tour for our holiday party (50) and they divided our group in two groups of 25. There's a ton of history packed into these two small bungalows, and the docent you get can make or break your experience. First you watch a movie documentary and it's mind boggling to know the Motown greats like Diana and Smokey lived on the same block. There's a lot of memorabilia and you're encouraged to sing as much as possible. I am amazed that many locals who grew up here have never been. It's a must have stop for out of towners.
