No doubt best bbq I have had in ny. I've been down south and this is up there. The owner from my understanding is from kc do he knew what he was doing when he opened this place. I'm full I'm happy I'm stuffed. When I'm in the area I'll be back. Fyi no parking anywhere so get ready to walk a few blocks

In the middle of nowhere but easy to reach via the ferry. You order and then get into the room. A band was playing in the yard. Overall a fun experience.

Thumbs up to their grilled meat. Grilled burnt ends are soft, juicy and tasty. It is served in pieces, easy to eat. Corn bread is special in texture and delicious. If you are not big appetite, one portion of meat with corn bread is good enough for two ladies to share. We add Jackson salad (with grilled pork belly, also delicious, but too much meat for lady, cannot finish) and iced lemon tea.

Great food, self-service but the food was generous, a bit loud.

This place is a bit out of the way but totally worth it. Outside picnic tables in back and sometimes live music. It gets crowed and can be a bit of a wait, but very worth it. Popular with the climbing crowd from The Cliffs up the block. Everything is good but the burnt ends, mac&cheese, and cornbread are amazing along side local brews purchased at the back bar.

Great food really helpful waitress. Definitely will be coming back soon.

Great bbq, great atmosphere. The sides I had were the corn bread, baked beans and collards. They were as good as you'll get. The brisket was perfect.

Still a really good place for BBQ in this area. The prices are decent and the beer selection is great! Come hungry, be happy. Lunch can get packed so plan accordingly. The summer will open the backyard so be prepared for that.

Great bbq and even yummier bbq sauce...chunkier than most sauces and has good Smokey spice.

Get here early to get the burnt ends. Ribs, brisket, pastrami, turkey, pulled pork are all excellent as well, but if the burnt ends are still available, you need to get them. Occasionally there are Pecan Smoked wings they do as a special that are phenomenal. Great beer selection in the back, constantly rotating selection of top notch craft. Collard greens and Mac and cheese round out the meal. Make sure the check the "86" board next to the register when you get in line so you don't get your hopes up to order something that's run out for the day. This is food that takes time, so they can run out of any meat (and for some reason dessert) but I've never had anything I didn't like here.

I got the 3 ribs + 1 meat order with a side. I chose Pulled pork as my meat and corn bread as my side. The ribs were cooked perfectly! I had it with the barbeque sauces that are placed on each table and it gave it an amazing flavor. This goes for the pulled pork as well. Meats were just amazing.

The corn bread was great, it had pieces of corn in it and it gave it a different type of sweet flavor that you don't normally get in corn bread (in a good way). I have never tried corn bread this way but I was not disappointed.

Overall, this place was great. The environment was welcoming and there is also a small bar in the back with a good selection of draft beer.

No wonder this place has received so much of recognition. One of the best places to try Chicken. Not sure how healthy that would be but definitely a worth cheat meal.
Prices are reasonable compared to NYC standard.

This place is totally awesome as a Kansas Citian! A real slice of home. Met some great people from back home who also loved watching the raiders get smashed by the chiefs!

As far as the food goes, the burnt ends were where it s at. The fries were solid, but I liked the Mac n Cheese more. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich, but liked my gf burnt end sandwich better! Can t really go wrong though.

Also, I m not kidding about the chiefs fandom. It was great!

It is the most delicious meat you will ever eat. The burnt ends are delicious!

Brisket is not obviously smoked. Low smoke flavor, no smoke ring, no crust. Instead, seems like it was largely cooked in an oven. Dry.

I go with my wife to this nice place quite a bit! This is my favorite place to dine. I visit this place routinely. The cooking is very tasty, the crew is welcoming and the charge is affordable. I enjoy meeting in this spot to have a rich dinner.

The meats are amazing and the Pecan Wings are a must have ! They are served only Sat &Sun .. come often and work your way thru the menu they accept cards.

Pulled chicken sandwich had good flavor and the sauce was delicious. The chicken wasn't actually pulled though it was chopped up pieces. Still a delicious sandwich. The Mac and cheese was really good.

The BBQ here is great! Good selection! Recommend smoked ends! They don't have much selection of wings tho. But no one comes here for the wings. There is a picnic area out in the back.

The place is small. But clean its like cafeteria style u order food in front and then they call your name and then u pick it up! Its pricy but they give u a lots of food and i had 6 good meaty pieces of bbq ribs very good platter with mac and cheese it was good, the best corn bread very good with corn in it and u get two slices of bread and lemonaide refills, collard greens very good they hv small bar looks like most was buying beer, their outside eating two cold for us today, just that the music was too loud you cannot talk nor hear your people u with u screaming at each other lol. I wanna go back to see. Hated the cold slaw, Will visit again! Employees nice!

Superb! Burnt ends were to die for. Ribs were excellent as well. Mac and cheese, pulled pork and brisket too. Good selection of craft beer on tap, very friendly service. Will definitely go back when I visit the area again.

If you're gonna come for the 1st time. You've gotta try the Burnt Ends. Absolutely amazing!!!

Love this place

I was here and can t say enough good things about it (get the BURNT ENDS) even though all the food is perfection. Barbecue and bowling is my favorite Saturday. Eat and drink here and then head over a couple blocks away to the Gutter, you re sure to have a fun day.

Get the burnt ends, the best option i my opinion, plump and juicy cuts with a slight charr that perfectly compliments the taste. They give you plenty of their BBQ sauce which is in a class of its own.

Seat yourself but well worth it. The brisket was very tasty, mac and very cheesy,corn bread not you traditional style but very good. Well worth the trip and I will surely be back.

The seating area is pretty tight, and gets RIDICULOUSLY packed during Kansas City Chiefs games. It's also difficult to order from the small bar (again, during Chiefs games). The food is good though. There's extra seating outside, but it's not ideal during the winter months, as it gets pretty cold back there. The owners still put a TV out back, so fans can watch the game. Overall, the place seems good, it's just small. So be prepared for that.

Pastrami and corn bread are out of this world. I'll never tire of this place.

Decent BBQ - don't expect anything too special, and prices are a bit high for quality. Go for the burnt ends (if they're still available)

My all time fave bbq spot! The tiny lady who works there has always been amazing! She remembers us every time we visit and asks how my boys were and reminisces about my pregnancy LOL. I must say though, the quality is not what it used to be and there are times when the meat is a bit tougher than it should be. I wonder if it's due the amount of food they need to push out over the weekend.

Seems a little odd to serve such good meat on white bread and their prices are kinda steep for not including a side, but overall delicious and good service!

I've eaten here dozens of times in the last few years. Normally it's great but tonight, I munched down on my BBQ with the *regular* sauce from the dispenser outside (you get to choose regular or hot), only for my entire mouth to be burned by the hottest hot sauce ever. Someone has put the hot sauce in the regular dispenser. I told the only staff member I could get the attention of - the barman - and he laughed in my face and told me it was supposed to be that way. He didn't care! No, it's not supposed to be that way... that's why you have two bottles of BBQ sauce on each table, and not one. Had to grab a bottle of regular sauce from inside - and a large glass of water - to finish my meal.

Good BBQ food and lively ambience. It was a bit loud because of the crowd. You probably want to get a table before ordering since there is no table service and the place is often packed.

I'm from the deep south where BBQ is done right. This food is sooo gud makes you wanna slap Yo momma!

The food tastes great, it is also ready quickly. We stood outside in line, ordered within 10 minutes and our order ready 5 minutes later. Watch out with the hot sauce on the table. This one is really very hot. A nice place to eat if you like BBQ food.
