Mother of Good Counsel Home is a skilled nursing facility that has been serving the St. Louis community with excellent and compassionate care since 1932. Our mission is to provide a safe, comfortable, and nurturing environment where our residents can thrive physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
At Mother of Good Counsel Home, we understand that choosing the right care for your loved one can be overwhelming. That's why we offer a range of clinical care and memory care options to meet the unique needs of each resident. Our dedicated 24/7 clinical staff provides personalized attention to ensure that every resident receives the highest quality care possible.
In addition to our clinical services, we also offer spiritual life and sacraments for those who wish to participate. We offer daily Mass along with other opportunities for prayer so that our residents can nourish their souls as well as their bodies.
Our Sisters and mission partners are committed to creating a warm and welcoming home-like atmosphere where residents feel valued and respected. We believe in treating each person with dignity and compassion while providing them with the support they need to live life to its fullest.
Clinical Care
Our clinical care services are designed to meet the unique needs of each resident while promoting independence, dignity, and quality of life. Our team includes registered nurses (RNs), licensed practical nurses (LPNs), certified nursing assistants (CNAs), physical therapists (PTs), occupational therapists (OTs), speech therapists (STs), social workers, dietitians/nutritionists, pharmacists/medication aides who work together seamlessly in providing comprehensive medical attention.
We provide short-term rehabilitation services such as physical therapy after surgery or illness; long-term skilled nursing services such as wound management or medication management; hospice/palliative/end-of-life comfort measures; respite stays when caregivers need temporary relief from caregiving duties; memory support programs for those living with Alzheimer's disease or other forms of dementia.
Memory Care
We understand how challenging it can be caring for someone living with Alzheimer's disease or other forms of dementia. That's why we have specialized memory support programs designed specifically for these individuals' unique needs at different stages in their journey through dementia-related illnesses.
