Morris and Garritano Reviews

I was so impressed with Brian Peters at Morris & Garritano that I decided to write a review about my experience with him on both Yelp and Google. I switched my Renters and Auto Insurance over from AAA to his office recently and I couldn't believe how much I learned from him. Brian was an insurance guru! He explained each of the policies and coverages to me in detail(in simple terms that I could understand). He even saved me $175 per year! Definitely going to recommend him to my friends and family.

Watchout for Morris & Garritano insurance company located in San Luis Obispo as they will rip you off. If you buy insurance from them please do your research, if you have a claim whether it is a car or home owners or rental insurance or any insurance, they're adjustors are real scam artist. Paying them is like paying someone to deny your claim, get nothing. Get rear ended how are they going to protect you, if have to deal with a shark insurance company that is set on settle low ball claims, all they want you to do is sign the settlement check as fast as possible as they do to all their adjustments quickly to avoid legal cost. They're in business to settle fast claims and give you less for something that's worth more, that's really bad business. If you own something and it's got value, sorry, kiss it's value goodbye at Morris & Garritano. You'll get what they think its worth, even if you have an appraisal on it. If you want insurance, buy only the best that will offer the best legal department that will protect your interests on what you insure. There are insurance companies out there that will screw you completely. All this AAA+ ratings, that is a setup by the department of insurance when insurance companies lobby and finance the department of insurance with all sorts of perks to the special interests. Thats like buying your legislation and controlling the laws that really benefit the insurance companies not the consumers, the department of insurance won't do anything. Notice the fancy cars at Morris & Garritano office they drive, fancy expensive cars? Yeah, that's the commissions they get and huge benefits they get from the insurance companies to sell out consumers on their big payouts, making the average Joe doing business there the real suckers losing out on their money. They denied my claim because of these greedy pocket the claims themselves, they're horrible insurance people what they did to me and they can do the same thing to you.

Fantastic group of attentive agents who make you feel important. Not only do I have my personal auto and home with them but I worked with them for large business as well. I cannot recommend this company enough. They treat their clients and employees very well.

I don't ordinarily post negative reviews, as I generally find silver linings, but my experience with Morris & Garritano stands out as one that I can't simply ignore. They provided homeowner's insurance (through Safeco) for a home we purchased locally several years ago. With previous purchases (through other vendors), home insurance was an afterthought - the premium was paid automatically from an escrow account. We received notification, but no action was required. For whatever reason, Morris & Garritano couldn't make that happen, despite repeated attempts over multiple years. Instead, a pattern emerged: I would contact them yearly to confirm an escrow connection, and they would assure me all was in order. Months later, I would receive premium notices (long after deadlines had passed), informing me that my policy had lapsed due to non-payment! This continued for three consecutive years! At long last, I wised-up, went straight to Farmer's, verified an escrow connection, and received the same coverage for 40% less! Do yourself a favor and avoid this outfit, ..

These guys are extremely competent, customer focused and quick to respond.

I switched my auto and renters insurance over to Morris and Garritano a few months ago when Brian Peters, their personal lines agent, was able to increase my coverage for a lower price than my previous insurance- Farmers. A few weeks ago, I was in a in collision and Brian was extremely helpful throughout the entire process. He made sure I was taken care of right away and I was able to get a rental car the next day. He even called the following week to check in and make sure I was doing okay. If you want an agent that cares, Brian is the way to go.
