My first experience with recovery was at this place. I learned a lot about myself during my time here and picked up a lot of great tools that have helped me in my first year of sobriety. The staff was always helpful and accommodating although I probably wasn't always pleasant to be around. I still talk some of the people I met here and will forever remember my time spent here.

Our family sent a loved one to this facility in July of 2012. We were given many promises at the start that were NOT kept and it was detrimental to our entire family. Once we fought to resolve all that, our family was invited to a weekend that we were told was to be educational for us to help our loved one return home and teach us how to help this loved one be successful at home. Upon arrival, our family learned some devastating news about things our loved one in treatment had been doing, and instead of scheduling personal conversations to bring these things to light, they refused to let us speak to our loved one. We almost left without participating. Even when we did get a chance to speak, their guidance and nearly four weeks in treatment were not enough to even begin conversations on everything that needed to be brought out to begin the healing process. They sent our loved one home as soon as the money ran out, and they haven't once checked on this person since then. I would NEVER encourage anyone to send their loved one here. Of 4 families we met during our visit, all 4 families are still having difficulty with those who were in treatment not even a year later. Don't waste your time.

This place taught me real life skills coping skills which is crucial. The rehabs I have been to before did not offer the same amounts of freedom that this place provides, and I was lost when I got out of them because it was so structured and everything. Here I actually learned how to really live.

The thing that really sets Morningside apart from the dozens of other facilities in Southern California is the fact that it customizes its program to fit the client, not the other way around. The staff are incredible, the facilities are beautiful, and the alumni program ensures that you can stay connected and supported long after you leave.

Morningside is in a different category for what they do. This place literally changed my life and will have a lifelong impact on my sobriety. The therapists were born to do this job. I was at Betty Ford and there was no one there that came close. There are some people who are overachievers and some people who are talented, but the staff at Morningside is both.

I have been working with MSR for a year and half and I am not only impressed with all it has to offer for those in recovery but I'm also proud to be a part of the work we do for the clients and their families.

Haley and Sean are some of the best staff ever. they make sure once you leave you are never forgotten. I know that even though I am not longer at Morningside that I still have help whenever I need it. <3

Morningside is a wonderful treatment center for multiple mental health issues. Morningside provided a recovery plan that saved a family members life! The program was comprehensive, provided real life experiences, and the staff was gifted in their treatment. My loved one was treated with respect and given the help needed to begin healing. They worked with the insurance and this program was much more affordable than other programs. My family is grateful for Morningside and their staff. They helped my loved one save herself!!! You may be confident that your loved one will be given another chance at a happy life!!! Thank you Morningside!!!!!

As a family member of a very successful continuing Morningside resident, I was impressed with their operation from the very start. Connie, the administrator, met with us and showed us the facilities & went over every detail. Connie is a miracle worker, almost like a fairy Godmother and is always there for us, immediately fixing anything brought to her attention. Connie has made herself very approachable, willing, ready, caring and available. Morningside family counceling is excellent. I can not only see the happiness at Morningside, I can hear it in the lively conversations and feel it happening everywhere in the building. All positive, healthy, "students" are definitely thriving, not just going through the motions. It's a great place. The living arrangements are also a plus with just enough rules & structure to make sense, providing a safe place with responsibilities, praise, appropriate consequences & comraderie. They enjoy really fun weekend outings. Morningside is skillfully nurturing cocoons over there and keeping the newly born butterflies close until their wings are ready to carry them out on their own. Thank you!

I was at Morningside for 3 months and I gained all the skills I need to stay sober. On top of that I learned how to maintain a schedule, a good diet and an exercise routine. By far their adventure program was the best part for me. I grew the most in such a short period of time. I don t know how to explain it. It was amazing.

My experience at Morningside was beyond life changing. My life before reaching out with a grim and lonely place. Not only did I learn coping skills to last a life time but I made friends to last a life time as well.

Morningside Recovery should not have the word recovery in it. We sent our daughter there because they advertise "duel diagnosis" treatment. When I spoke to Jeff Yates on the phone regarding my daughters issues which was alcohol and mental health problems I asked him what I felt was one of the most important questions....
"if she drinks, will you kick her out?" and he assured me that she would not be kicked out. He said she will have consequences but not be kicked out. Well that was not true she did drink and she was NOT "treated" by Morningside, she was placed in a "detox facility" for three days which cost us additional money. Then she was placed in a 30 day program twice and when she returned to Morningside they discharged her for drinking. They should NOT advertise or say they treat alcoholisum because they DO NOT!! They send them to another facility to be treated!! This place is a joke!! Oh and by the way they are extremely expensive and will not refund any money.

As an employee at Morningside for almost 3 years, I can vouch for the great work that we do here. Our program takes a truly unique approach when it comes to tackling the underlying reasons behind substance abuse. We teach our clients the tools they need to stay sober and help them transition back into the real world.

This place is really something, I was here for 28 days. I was scared out of my mind at first, but I was able to calm down as I started to meet the other patients and the staff. I bonded with my "co-conspirators" (what our little group called ourselves cause we were always getting in trouble), and we still talk from time to time. I will always remember this place and how it helped me in a time of need.

Do not go to this SCAMMY facility! Somebody died in there facility. This is possibly one of the worst treatment centers I have ever been too!!! They are unprofessional and rude and do not know how to run a business!

This is a great place to go to. You learn a lot. I only did 30 days and maybe if I stayed longer I would learn a lot more. I accomplished how to have mindfulness, depression, grief and loss I learned quite a bit. The activities were lots of fun. We went to the Angel game and then a comedy show and then a boat. I had a great time.

When I got out of the hospital about a year ago I didn't know what I would have to do to survive. I knew that if I continued to behave the way I had always behaved I was going to continue to get the same results I had always gotten. Morningside held me and coddled me long enough for me to shed my old way of life, and gain a whole new set of skills and a whole new familiarity with myself. I am proud when I look in the mirror today. Morningside does not force people to get sober. It is not a lockdown facility. It is a facility that shows you how to reassimilate into daily life one step at a time. I am sure I could have stayed sober in lockdown, but Morningside taught me how to stay sober after instead of just locking me away. For that I am grateful.

It was absolutely amazing, it changed my life so much! I am now back better than absolutely ever. I literally would describe my recovery as nothing short of a miracle and it really all began when I entered morningside this time one year ago.

Past client as well as employee for almost 3 years. This place is shady, unethical, and downright despicable. Watched them let person after person down. Profiting off their disease, keeping them sick. They went out of business but apparently they came back from the grave. Beware.

I m thinking of going to morning side with my boyfriend. I am wondering if anyone on here has gone In with a loved one and how they go about housing you do they keep you together and put you in a room together or do they completely separate you? Trying to find the answer ASAP since some reviews say the admission lie I want to know the truth about the couples treatment! Please and thank you

My experience at Morningside was life changing. Was it the end of my journey and struggle? No. What Morningside did give me however, was the strength to keep fighting it. I was broken, lost and close to giving up before walking through these doors. I have gained skills, mindsets and support here that I will carry on with me for the rest of my life. Morningside gave me hope towards my future.

If you want to get billed two years later after attending this scam of a rehab, literally nearly 2 1/2 years later then this place is perfect for you. Save your money and headache somewhere else cause these amazing people will nickel and dime you until you re broke. Total scam and they even got their own personal rental-a-lawyers involved for a petty $1,000 for YEARS ago for costs that my insurance didn t cover. Just keep in mind this could very well be you soon too if you decide to go to this dump of a rehab.

Find another place. The staff is not helpful. The building and rooms are dark and depressing. My therapist was monotone and seemed like his mind was somewhere else. The groups sucked and all they did was shove meetings down your throat. I had a issue with my non narcotic back pain meds. Basically I couldn't take them. While trying to find another place they kicked me out into the streets.
