This is a community of compassionate, welcoming people, and they become like a second family! I hadn't gone to a church for nearly 20 years prior to going here. I was pregnant and I felt drawn to have my baby experience the positive things I had experienced as a child that had attended Sunday School. Little did I know that going to church here would come to be so important in my own life. Things turned upside down when a number of tragedies happened in m family. Members of this church were there for us, prayed for us, and were incredibly giving. One particular church member felt called by God to pray in the middle of the night for us, and she sent inspiring messages from the Bible for at least two weeks, taking time to type every word carefully. Those messages meant the world during a very dark and challenging time. A group of church members gave us a huge bag of Christmas gifts when we had not had a chance to prepare for Christmas due to a particular tragedy. I have completely changed for the better as a result of our difficult experiences and how members from Mooresville FUMC demonstrated a truly Christ-like love and concern for our family. They have been wonderful role models as Christians! I look forward to going to church, volunteering there, and participating. I hope that you will feel welcome to this church. I suggest that you make a commitment to coming for at least a year or more. The longer you are there the more you will see great things happen! In a society where people often feel lonely or disappointed with unkind behavior I think you will notice folks here truly shine a light of goodness, and accept you as family.
