Not really sure how a place that is supposed to offer mental help can decide not to treat someone because they seem pretty sound minded or aren t severe enough. But unless you re a raging schizophrenic or belong in a ward, I would suggest looking elsewhere. Also not sure why I couldn t have been told in the first place when I asked if they were accepting patients, that unless they deemed you severe that we would be turned down. Could have saved me time on finding someone who will actually treat my husband.

Don't understand all the one star reviews. My case worker Dustee is awesome once I felt comfortable around her. She has many good ideas to get around barriers and help with copeing. Dr.Lyon changed my life around for better. Dr. Sansiet is super smart and he help fixing some my issues that I feel I still need help with. Hope to keep him as my doc till he retire. They listen, they care, might not seem that way at first but u got to give them chance. Recommended them to my wife and they welcomed her right in. It won't hurt to give them chance.
It's really hard to answer honestly. Some good experiences, and some not so good. It really depends on who you see. Michelle Davis was excellent, and so was my DBT group. However, this was in 2008. The last time I had services there, ( a couple years ago ), I am not sure what to think. I liked my therapist but didn't feel that I was getting anything out of therapy.
If your privacy is important to you, stay away from here! Even after requesting my information be respected, they disregarded and threw it out there anyway! ! If you don't have a choice but to go there, protect your information at all costs.
My experience with Montcalm Care Network has been less than adequate. Like many others I would agree that their services are very poor. My first diagnosis was paranoid schizophrenia. Now 7 years later... It's PTSD. I've almost died from the medications While under the care of dr. David Lyons. He would refuse to change my medication. Or my diagnosis. He Would say things like I have cannabis abuse and because I smoke weed. And I would see dr. David Lyons for less than 10 minutes to a time. The whole time I was under his care I felt he did not do his job very well almost as if he was there just to collect a paycheck. And he was certain that's my cannabis use was the cause of said symptoms. I would ask him may we try other meds because I would vomit profusely daily. Would report to dr. Lyons and still he would refuse to take me off of prolixin I was on that stuff for 4 and 1/2 years. I have had bad allergic reactions to almost every medication he put me on. One time after I just got out of alma hospital depakote cause high liver enzymes. When I went for my follow-up appointment with right after getting out of there I get sent to another mental hospital for refusing to take a medication that almost killed me. And now I've been trying to cancel services. Have told this to Cindy Campos twice now. She was my case manager. I will always say dr. Kim listens and God bless him. And how does someone go from schizophrenic to ptsd. And whoever reads this just know being placed on medications to to treat schizophrenia and not having schizophrenia THE MEDS WILL CAUSE schizophrenic like symptom like delusional thought process, hallucinations , and being irritable. Most of the workers don't listen. But there are a few I feel that care that work there. As a former consumer of their services. I'm glad to have been able to terminate their services. O I'm also an accomplished guitarist
Giving them a one star so i can write a review. This is the absolute worst agency period. They are extremely unprofessional and produce poor services. The clinical staff sadly is a joke. It would most likely be more beneficial for your mental health to just not receive services if you are referred here. It is unfortunate they would treat people diagnosed with a mental illness so poorly. Already being part of such a vulnerable population, the one place you should feel safe and get help you cannot rely on.
This is, as many others have posted, a very very poor place to go for any kind of psychological help. They truly do not seem interested in helping people. They just seem to be more interested in making money off the system. My new doctor dr Adam is very unpleasant and argued with me the whole time I was in his office. He messed up my medications royally and now I'm a nervous wreck! What's worse is he refuses to fix it!
They have played a major part in the continued growth, understanding and ability to understand my issues and maintain my life on a daily basis, along with many other discoveries, they helped me believe in myself and my future.
