I worked here, and I've never worked in the type of environment MCH has. Everyone was to friendly and they truly truly care about each and every patient and employee

If I could give this hospital a zero star I would! Dr. White is the most unprofessional Dr. I have ever met, I wouldn t even consider him a doctor. He is so rude and has the worst bedside manner I have ever experienced.

Terrible management. Taking advantage of the nurses. Lying to them

Some employees are good. I'm talking about a handful only. The aides are mean, and the policy of the aides is once you are in bed you are staying in bed. (Which is unlawful). If you complain they retaliate against you loved ones.
I have called the administrator numerous times, still waiting for call back.
Food is hit and miss.

That is only a partial review, it would take a book to review this terrible place.

My husband was a resident at MCH for physical therapy for 3 months and it was the worst experience we have ever had. He went into there walking while assisted and left unable to walk completely. He was constantly neglected and abused mentally. They gave us false hope of discharge for 2 months and we had to have him transferred to Strong to be sent home. I do not recommend this place to anyone!!!

This building built in the early part of the 1900's is a skilled nursing facility with rehab. It used to a house a nurses retirement home on the back side towards the canal. It has been used for many indigent citizens and some are buried on the property. The ornate design of architecture are seen on the outside (look up for gargoyles) and beautiful inside. It has been renovated several times. The grounds and building are in excellent condition. The care I have witnessed has ranged from deplorable to excellent. I don't know why. I have also heard many reports that the building is haunted. The county medical examiner's office used to be located in the building as well.

Pleasant employees, but no communication or staff members

The staff do a poor job of taking care of there residents...they have been understaffed for a very long time...

My father was in the rehab unit for over 2 months. He thought the food was very good, especially the soups. His therapists were excellent - they pushed him to recover as much as possible and worked on things he'd need to go back home and be independent again. The staff was excellent. He had a single room, everything was very clean. They had a lot of activities for the residents - bands, fireworks, music, etc - that they could participate in if they wanted to. Excellent care!
