Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center Review

Lovely view of the lake, food was yummy check it out! Would have rated higher but only one register open, with a longer line. Maybe that is usual, just thought the 2nd would have helped a bunch.

Beautiful place to have a convention and it has a great view of the lake

Nice views, upbeat and friendly vibe. The restaurant has decent food with prompt counter service. Avoid the ice cream as it is portioned in advance. Individual portions are served frozen hard with some freezerburn. Overall seems to be a positive for downtown Madison.

Great venue for events. Roof top garden has great views and a cafe.

Beautiful place to have a conference. Very large place with many breakout rooms available. Location is perfect by the water and within walking distance of the State Capital.

What an awesome location and resource. We were here for a convention, and felt very well taken care of the entire time.

Parking is extremely simple and convenient. The food is delicious. The waiters and staff in general are polite and very helpful. The facilities were gorgeous and very well equipped.

Everything from start to finish was great, and we can't wait to come back.

*Update- back a second year and even more impressed not that I was able to observe the architecture and desire and appreciate it more. The most intentionally designed public space I've ever been to.

I went for comic con it had a great view of the lake from the main floor and very friendly helpful staff.

A great public place where you can host private events. Staff is professional. Catering is outstanding. Parking for a fee is available. Plus it's part of downtown Madison

Great place with a great view and Fishing there is always great! The "Wall" offers all kinds of fish but there are some monster Crappies there!!!

Visited the Monona Terrace rooftop yesterday and was pleasantly surprised at the beautiful native Wisconsin prairie flowers you had growing there! What a nice place to take friends and family. Just gorgeous!

Amazing really beautiful views attended builders home show. Convenient to the Hilton don't even have to walk out in the cold to get there and hotel has hot tub!

I performed here for a wedding and was able to experience the rooftop ceremony as well as a ballroom reception. The building is very impressive and the catering was very friendly. I would highly recommend this place for any event.

Fishing, jogging, biking, walking, events, this is one place that is a must see!

Wasn't sure what to expect when I my daughter mentioned this "Monona Terrace" thing, ended up being a very cool little visit. Nice facility, nice view, pleasant walk on the lake. If it wasn't a holiday would have liked to ate at the cafe. Seemed like a nice relaxing way to end our weekend in Madison.

Awesome Frank Lloyd Wright inspired design overlooking Lake Monona. Great location for many great conventions. Upper level opens out just over a block away, from the steps of the capital.

An amazing venue by the water and you would be amazed at how many things are going on there from yoga and dances on the rooftop to conventions, weddings, conferences and special events for the public inside and out. Check back often to see what is going on or just stop in to check it out.

MT is potentially the most iconic venue in Madison. Designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, the view of Lake Monona is unbeatable. We have fit hundreds of guests into this facility and their catering team is on top of their game.

Visited this place in a full moon! If you want to enjoy a magnificent full moon over the lake this is the exact view you want to have, bonus with a peek of the Capitol building.

Place is beautiful the particular even not so much a lot of vendors that had nothing to do with the theme (building remodeling and landscaping) for an example. Women's make up? What how... Why... But the building is amazing with an amazing view

We were there for an OPEN LGBT event. The event was very classy and the view from the place was beautiful. We were there during the sunset and it had such picturesque view. Amazing

Rooftop is beautiful, staff is friendly and the food at the Lake Vista Cafe is to die for! The fun and free events are a plus as well.

Our wedding reception was held at the Monona Terrace this May and Marcia was our catering coordinator. Beautiful space with helpful staff and great food!

Monona Terrace is spectacular. Get over to the Lake Vista Cafe before it closes for the season. Best restaurant lake view in the city!

The venue is nice but avoid parking in their parking lot.. Expensive. The most I've ever paid in a venue like this.

Venue was crowded for an event but the hosts were professional and the view is gorgeous from the windows.

Absolutely beautiful architecture on this building. I spent a series of 5 days here for a conference and it was lovely. The staff did a good job keeping up with our large group. My only complaint, and its not that big of a deal, is the bathrooms are all far away from the main area.

Ask for Gretchen she did us a huge solid for the tour. She made the tour really fun and entertaining. She knows a lot about the City of Madison.

I have had the pleasure of visiting each year for Trek World. The staff has always been amazingly accommodating and the facility is clean and inviting.

I went with some friends to the BritBeat concert on the rooftop. The part of the building I walked through, the bathrooms, and the event area on the roof were very clean. The staff was friendly, and the location was gorgeous.

Facilities are nice but they use cheap cuts for steak, at Least marinade them or something

This event was so heart touching to see the work that the students from different schools in the communities worked so hard to build a replica of what they felt was in Madison. I brought my daughter here and she had the opportunity to build her own building. All the kids who attended had the opportunity to build a school or a restaurant etc. the kids were able to use their own imagination.
I felt good about this and I would definitely be taking my daughter again.
