We decided to make a Friday evening into family night at Monnik. It couldn't have been better! Our daughter was visiting from Amsterdam NL and we took our 12 yr old granddaughter too. We sat upstairs, more private and very cool vibe there, and took the game Yahtzee for entertainment. Ordered great beers, good pretzels, fries and burgers. The service was excellent and the staff was attentive and engaging. The food was served hot even with the added upstairs distance. Our dinner bill was even very reasonable since we had 2 beers each and a Dr. Pepper. The best part...we made some memories of all of us, but especially for our daughter, the Aunt and her niece. Highly recommend it!

Hands down the best brewery / restaurant we experienced while in town. The beer was phenomenal and both the food selection and tastiness was perfect. Covid precautions were also much appreciated. Will totally visit again!

The beers a GREAT!
I ve been at the Louisville location before great service.
We live in Indiana and decided to try the New Albany location .
I grabbed a table outside at 5:30 with NO sign saying that I couldn t.
It was only about half full.
I was told by a lady that I should have went through the front door.
THAT WAS PRETTY RUDE!!!!
I won t be coming back here at this location.

Went on a Friday night and only had a 20min wait so that s not too bad. Reviews by category:

4/5 on beer. They have a bunch of good options and honestly one for each flavor profile. There is an IPA coffee that s really good.

3/5 on food. Personally my meal was lacking. I ordered the Bier burger, medium. It came out well done and dry, with honestly just no flavor. The sauerkraut was the best I ve ever had, just that alone gets 5/5. Put that with the burger to make it tasteful.

Service 3/5. Our waiter was great, but forgot to put our order in. We spent 50min waiting for food.

Overall, no mad I went but won t be back. Good local spot just for drinks.

Very cool brewery and friendly staff. Reasonably priced beer and friendly staff. We didn't get any food but saw it coming out of the kitchen and it looked delicious.

I really miss the Sauerbraten! Don t understand why you don t intend to have it again? It was superior to a German restaurants in town. I had the Bratwurst and German potato salad which was not at all what I expected. German potato salad is usually served warm with a vinegar and bacon dressing.

Cool place. The service was excellent and the staff knowledgeable and friendly. The food was great and came out fast. Good selection of beers. Would recommend the house IPA. Patio seating was comfortable and pleasant.

Great beer and great food. They have opened up a lot of outdoor seating for covid and has only made going here better. The beers rotate often so it is easy to sink into being a regular. The food is fantastic but everything is a little different than you were expecting. This isn't a bad thing just something to keep in mind. You'll love whatever you end up ordering!

Before the pandemic, I went to Monnik about once a week to sit at the bar, have two beers, and then bike home. The rye IPA is spectacular, and the Noel is probably my favorite seasonal. The burgers are quite good, too, especially the beer cheese burger. Don't sleep on the cocktails, either. They have a rotating selection, so the bartenders are constantly trying out new combos. That keeps things fresh. Overall, Monnik is my personal favorite brewpub in Louisville.

Amazing food!!!!! We ordered several different things just to try new German dishes. They brought them out VERY quickly and our entire table was impressed with how wonderful everything tasted. Delicious!!!!!
