Disgusting and disgraceful. Should not be allowed to run a business or manage people. Treats employees poorly and is abusive. Just google him - there is nothing nice about this man. I could say more but he's not worth it

Monjon is all about screwing the security guard

Monjon is all about screwing the security guard
if you want job they give you very easily but consider:
you should be available 24/7 like a slave for all days a week and if you have day off or standby they call you midnight to start shift in 30 minutes.

If you work 40 hour but you will be paid 38 hour, nobody will answer your call regarding the issue or email.

Monjon cut payment for 30 minutes of every shift even 4 hour shift but guard never get break.

Monjon never send superannuation money to nominated account.

Monjon has a psychopath night manager (herman pinto) who jump walls or turn off his car lights while supervising the guard. ( to catch them doing something wrong)

every body is boss and every body is office is allowed to insult guards.

At the end company owner Jon Moncrief is criminal with many pending case : he has bribed a police officer to clear his traffic offences, he hit his wife in front of the camera, he has sexually assaulted his ex HR manager, and he bring big companies owner to his male only networking club and offer girls to get contract.

if anyone want to work for a psychopath, criminal, pimp, who hit his wife her you go

Look closer and you'll see that Monjon pays for false reviews. Absolutely useless company, I've called them on 3 occasions needing security only to have the representative talk me down and refuse to acknowledge the request. Monjon is security theatre and nothing more.

100% stay away from this company the guards are over worked, under paid, fatigued and treated with no respect, that reflects in their work ethic.

I wouldn't be suprised if the 5 star reviews were brought and paid for, I sugest you google more about Monjon and its CEO, the harassment, assult and sexual harassment that happens in this company, multiple fair work cases are easy to find on Google.

Even speak to some of the current guards about their hours, pay rates, treatment by the company ect.

I doubt you will want to pay the top dollar they expect for the poor service they provide.

I was appalled by some of the stuff I was told when speaking to some of the guards working the apartment building I live in and have to pay extra fees for the security.

Our building manager is currently trying to break his contract with them any way he can.

Do your reserch and perhaps read what alot of these reviews are saying.

DO NOT USE! Liars to clients, and and staff. Unjustified cost increases to clients annual fees. But pay increases not passed onto staff for up to 5 years. Less than minimum penalty rates required. Threaten any raising of grievances. Extreme verbal abuse from senior management to employees. Intimidating treatment by threats of job loss. Extremely poor management communication skills. Proven high staff turnover due to poor treatment, conditions, paying penalty rates etc. A disgrace compared to the few legitimate professional security companies.DO NOT TRUST THEM EVER!!!

A couple years have passed since I've been working for Monjon. The place is a great place to work if you want to have a career in security. I'm already heading up my own team which I look after on a day to day basis. I always wanted to work in leadership and Monjon is great for that.

This company is dreadful to work for. DO NOT be fooled by the "positive" reviews they are office employee, friends of Monjon or fake.

I'll start off with the positives, Monjon pays on time even if the clients don't pay Monjon, they'll make sure you're paid from their own pocket which I respect. They have a strict uniform policy which is also good in a way as it ensures you look presentable and respectful to the public. Monjon also have a couple of staff that will do their best to give you a reasonable place to work at.

Instead of paying workers a reasonable rate of $25 (which is a average with most companies) they pay $23 all the time and expect you to deal with drug addicts whilst working extremely long shifts (Yes, and that includes weekends and public holidays).

Having a bit of stubble or forgetting to wearing black socks will happily land you into re-induction. They have a strict policy to follow when working for them which is perfectly reasonable, however this company needs to realize they're really a small time security company and the rates that they pay will not exactly motivate people to follow their rules for long. From my experience and working with people from Monjon, I've found many employees are not happy. They have their shifts constantly swapped around, work long hours, deal with dangerous individuals under the influence that could injure or even possibly kill you if you don't know how to go about the situation. They simply just demand too much for too little in exchange and they need to realize this.

Monjon goes through heaps of employees but they wont tell you. I've seen people last 1-2 months and then leave. Monjon will claim it's because of their "strict policies" but I beg to differ. I think the issue is that people are overworked and when you're put on 'standby' you'll have a beautiful 99.9% of being called in... Oh and if you're busy get ready to feel guilty. They'll call and say stuff like "We put food on your table" or "The boss John won't like that" and if you argue, they'll make sure to intimidate you. It's awesome.

During your induction you'll feel special. John comes in and tells you all about how his company is like "Mercedes Benz" charging that little bit extra to clients but simultaneously paying his workers cookie crumbs and you'll see everyone in the room tune in and believe the words coming from his mouth like he's Jesus. (Some have even cried because of how inspirational John can be). He'll put down other companies (that pay you more and give you treat you better). John is a great public speaker and he's 2 hour speech is enough to get all to sign on with Monjon with ease.

Herman (the co-owner) will spy on you at night, it's practically stalking, harassment and bullying. He's gonna touch your face to feel if you have any stubble too. John the owner has also been in the news for pushing his ex wife on camera too. Both these blokes claimed to have been part of the UN or Police forces and have had high ranks. But by judging their actions and stories from other employees it seems these two were probably discharged from their ranks/previous jobs due to their behavior.

I heard a story about someone copping a huge fine for a gaff working at a site for Monjon and now is spending years of his life paying it off. Screw that!

To put it simply, you become the b*tch of Monjon...

Make working here your last option if at all possible.

I dedicated two and a half years of my life for this company with the hope that they will some day change and treat there employee with respect but all in vain.

In two years I got a pay rise of 30 cents from $23.30 to 23.60 flat rate including weekends. I worked on a day and night shift roster, with some shift finishing and 0000hrs and starting 0600hrs.

Most of the time you would only get 40 hours a week and when they were short staff they would force you to take a shift 60km away from your place. If you refused the shift they would intimidate you.

I can only say DO NOT work for this mob.

I worked at this company Monjon from September 2015 until approximately November 2016 . They are the absolute worst !!! They treat their workers like rubbish !!! They have absolute zero or even less than that of duty of care ! A typical week is 5 days on 1 day off plus a standby which they expect you to to available for even though they don't pay you for being on standby ! Herman Pinto is a total C#%T acts like he's straight from the Gestapo or similar ! For several months i worked at shopping centre at Point Cook 1400 to 2330 then next day 0700 to 1900 . They dont care what conditions you are in so long as they have a Security Guard on site for their beloved clients ! I asked for their assistance to help me when i was getting physically threatened by youth gangs at Central Square shopping centre and i was the one abused by Monjon management when they came out to interview me about the situation ' you'll just have to put up with it i was told ! To which I replied well i bloody well wont put up with it ! I could go on and on and on about Monjon ! But suffice to say with a huge red flag for warning PLEASE DO NOT WORK FOR THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!

I could review but I'll let you be the judge.

I could review but I'll let you be the judge.

Ask yourself if you worked for Monjon how likely would you going to be providing the service Monjon claims.

Fair work just ended a 12 month operation regarding workplace bullying at monjon, Herman Pinto (general operations manager) and John moncreiff (CEO) were both found guilty of workplace bulling and failing to provide a safe work environment, as a result Herman recived a promotion in the company.

The current minimum wage for security officer level 1 casual is $25.86 per hour, monjon pay rate is $22.85 an hour flat rate for casual, all penetaly rates are waved in the expired enterprise buisness agreement that you are told to sighn or leave.
This has not changed since 2007 when the agreement was written.

Monjon Rosters it's staff on for 5 days a week with one day off and one day stand by, your "day off" will begin at 6am when you leave work to go home and sleep your day away, you than have a night that you can seek out something to do while every buisness is closed and everyone you know will be asleep (Don't expect to be able to spend time with friends or family).
Your "stand by" day is really just a day they are going to randomly call you (often while you are asleep or sometimes they don't bother untill just before your shift and expect that you magically knew where they decided to roster you on without bothering to tell you)
And your "stand by" day is not optional.
On the bright side there is a 3.8% chance you may not be assigned a shift.

The majority of the shifts will be 12 hours, my avrage working week was between 54 and 62 hours a week, permanent night shift, despite the enterprise agreement containing a paragraph regarding rotating rosters and weekends/public holidays off ect.
the rostering at monjon dose hold to this section of their enterprise agreement either, I personally worked for monjon for over a year and recived exactly 0 weekends and 0 public holidays off.

So how are we looking so far friend? 5-6 days a week 12 hour shifts with just enough time to drive home, sleep, wake up, eat and drive back to work for another 12 hour shift with 1 break of 1/2 an hour, sounds good so far right?

If you work a shift that starts before and ends on a public holiday (for example 6pm on the day before melbourne cup day and ends at 6am on cup day) and your supervisor provides you a break after 5 hours (what is stated in the enterprise agreement) from 11pm to 11:30 pm the day before cup day and at your illigal wage of $22.65 an hour flat , monjon payroll will deduct your break from your public holiday pay (this is the only time you will recive higher than the $22.85) not the pay rate recived when taking the break, meaning your break cost you an hour of pay rather than half an hour regardless of when or even if you are provided a break. (Thats right my friend, if the supervisor skips your site or monjon dosn't roster a supervisor on that night, you still can enjoy having your pay docked for a break you are not allowed to take without the reliving guard on site.)

How about sleep? Do you like sleep? Well the The vast majority of Monjon guards work 6pm to 6am (often before and after your shift you will have to travel to collect and return equipment to another site), the monjon office staff will call you between 10 am and 3pm, waking you up each week to provide you with a verbal recounting with your roster despite the agreement stating in section 7.1 that a roster will be provided in wrighting via email or sms.
Even if you ask not to be called during the day or to have your roster sms/emailed to you the requests will fall on deaf ears.

I could keep going buy I'm at the character limit.

Ask yourself this, how likely do you think tired, harassed, underpaid and unhappy guards are going to provide you with 110%? Or why harassment or falling asleep are the leading reasons guards leave or are fired.

They say you get what you pay for right?

With the highest cost of any security around do you think the service you will get is what you pay for?
Or will it be what monjon pays for?

Just want to say another big Thanks to "Arch" who works for MONJON down at eden ruse. Had just done my last minute sunday shopping before Aldi closed and raced home to prep for Mondayitus!! When to my horror realising I had misplaced my wallet....within 5 mins I was back down there to be greeted by a locked door with a security guard approaching announcing everything on this side has closed. I explained my situation for entry and was granted entry with a smile even though I was being very blunt. I described the wallet I thought I had left in Aldi, when good ol' "Arch" reached in his pocket and said "Here's your wallet which you left in the shopping trolley"...Phew!! Life saver bro!! Great service and great to know people still care out there!! Keep up the great work Arch and thank you to MONJON for hiring awesome staff!! Will say "howzit"next time I cross paths with the friendly giant!! Cheers once agin bro!!

Can someone send all these reviews to John & Treci Moncrieff?

If you are a new guard reading this, STAY AWAY from this company!

I am new to security industry. Before joining Monjon I read all these reviews but ignored them. I thought I will only work for a few months just to get the experience and move on to other companies. Trust me I totally regret joining Monjon. I don't want to go into the details but my experience working with them was so awful that I don't even want to work in security industry. Working with Monjon felt like I was living in 18th century. Monjon treats their guards like slaves. Working 12 hours shift with no breaks (not even toilet breaks) is a norm here. $23 flat rate including night shift and weekend is simply a joke.
