Leonardo s Last supper is magnificent and awe inspiring. Most don t recognize that it is a mural that has gone through restoration. It is very impressive. But it s really one of the two works to see at the site.

If you want to see the last supper buy tickets in advance (like at least 2/3 weeks), otherwise you wont be able to get tickets in the day. You can try your luck early in the morning, but you need to be lucky.

Very beautiful. Not for nothing the second Italian site to become part of UNESCO. So much history on this place where for many years Leonardo stayed while he was painting the Last Supper. The church is a bit dark inside but with 2 euros you can light up. I would go there on a sunny day towards the sunset to see it with both natural and artificial light. Attention to the timetable. After 17.55 tourists are not welcome since the religious function begins (inquire about orarimagari change according to the season). Even the illuminated outside (see photo) is spectacular.

Unfortunately, there are no tickets for local tourists. These were sold out for the next 2 weeks. So we could not look at the probably beautiful church and the last supper. Next time I'm back in Milan and maybe we'll get tickets, my rating will certainly improve.

Being able to admire this marvel of Leonardo's genius allows you to be part of the history and the most touching scene of Christianity. I could not hold back the tears from emotion. It is necessary to book well in advance, even online. At the Upper Room it is allowed to enter only for small groups: after passing in control of the bags (you can not bring inside the bottle of water), you go through a corridor divided by 3 sliding doors. The visit lasts no more than 15 minutes.

After visiting this stunning church, you are led to the refectory in which lies one of the most famous paintings of Renaissance Italy- Da Vinci's Last Supper.
The painting is a masterpiece and no art or history lover should visit Milan and not see it.
Well worth it!

AMAZING! The architecture is powerful, the space inside is amazing, you can sit after walking around the city and give rest to your feet, put a candle (0.5 and 1 , without any sellers of church shops there, as we have everything on trust), think and pray, soak up the silence , beauty and greatness. Admire the beautiful Finnish 15th century, the same age as the temple. And the location is 5 minutes away from the center (park, Sforzo Palace).
In general, be sure to stop by and get aesthetic pleasure !!!

Reservation required !! Getting a ticket locally is ridiculous. Book absolutely. It's easy to make a reservation over the phone if you are sad that you have failed to make an online reservation! The reservation probability is higher!
I don't know how much time I'm going for 15 minutes and I'm addicted to painting!

To see Leonardo's experimental work on such scale is a privilege, but the tour experience offers little more than 'just photograph it and go'. My questions were not welcomed and was hurried out reluctantly without adequate time to enjoy the painting.

The church of Santa Maria delle Grazie is located ...

The church of Santa Maria delle Grazie is located in the populated area of Magenta. Built at the end of the 15th century, it underwent several reforms very soon after its construction, affecting the cloister and the apse. Its colorful dome was attributed for a long time to Bramante, although today it is thought that its author was Giovanni Antonio Amadeo. In his interior they emphasize several works of Gaudenzio Ferrari, Bramantino, Bernardino Zenale and Bernardino Butinone, although the most important work that received was the coronacion of thorns, of Tiziano, today in the Museum of the Louvre. The highlight of the church is the refectory, which is not accessible from it, which is the famous fresco of The Last Supper, executed by Leonardo da Vinci in 1494. During World War II, due to the bombing, the refectory was destroyed, although miraculously the wall that contained the work of Leonardo was saved. The entrance to the church is free, and the opening hours, every day, from 07.00 to 12.00 and from 15.00 to 19.00 hours on weekdays, and from 07.30 to 12.30 and from 15.30 to 21.00 hours on holidays. To contemplate The Last Supper, we will have to do it through the Vinciano Cenacle, located to the left of the main door, upon reservation and payment of 10.
