Modesto City Schools is a public school district located in the heart of California's Central Valley. With a rich history dating back to 1871, Modesto City Schools (MCS) has been providing quality education to students from diverse backgrounds for over 150 years.
The district serves more than 30,000 students across its 23 elementary schools, seven junior high schools, and six high schools. MCS is also home to several alternative education programs that cater to students with unique learning needs.
MCS District is the third largest employer in Stanislaus County and employs over 3,500 staff members who are dedicated to providing an excellent educational experience for every student. The district's mission is "to ensure all students learn and grow by providing a rigorous and relevant curriculum in a safe and supportive environment."
