Great local music store. It's a locally owned small business which is nice, and the owners are personable and easy to talk to. The store offers instrument repair, lessons, rental programs, and have a solid stock of instruments and almost anything music related. It's a one-stop-shop for any musician of any level. Definitely would recommend.
Our kids have taken lessons for bass, percussion, clarinet and saxophone at Modern Day. All instructors are fantastic and relate well to kids and adults. Friendly and helpful staff and owners. Love this place!
My son, Anthony takes piano lessons from Jenna Laman. She has been a fantastic teacher for him! She keeps the lessons positive and fun which motivates him to continue. He has been taking lessons from her for 3 years now and is becoming a better piano player everyday!
My son has been taking Piano lessons with Jenna Laman at Modern Day Music for at least the last 2 years and she s been amazing. As well as staff at modern day music. Jenna is such a vibrant, enthusiastic and positive influence on my son. We went from struggling and hating practice to thriving and enjoying practice. She always believes in him and his ability to succeed and hence he feeds off this and thrives and it s worked!
The store is a mess. Disorganized, dirty, junky looking. We had an electric guitar and a violin on consignment there; went to see what was going on with them and they were both in the back storage room. I was told the guitar was no longer working, but no one called us to see if we wanted them to repair it or come get it. They just threw them in the back room and that was that. No good faith effort to sell the instruments or communicate status or condition. Excuses about the condition of the instruments. I would not recommend this place to anyone to buy, sell or consign an instrument. There are several very nice and professional luthier shops and guitar stores in the cities; go to one of them rather than Modern Day Music.
Emily has been so open and helpful with all of my questions from everything to violin repair (which turned out impeccable) to purchasing cases, instrument rental and guiding us through music purchases. Sharp couple- great references from everyone who speaks of them.

My kids have been going to Modern Day Music lessons for years. This place is awesome. The flexibility, dedication, and accommodations Joe and his team make for families is astounding. Cole, Cyrus, and Rick have not only taught my kids to read and play music, but have helped develop character and life skills for my kids future. Modern Day Music is a great asset to our community. (Joe is pretty good at fixing dropped or broken instruments too)

So I come in here pretty often since I moved here about year a go..The guy working there behind the front counter never left his position ...would keep to him self and ask me if I needed any help ..ya know..modest unenthused position...and that s fine perrrfectly fine I don t really care..but what I did care about was it wasn t until I brought my particularly good looking girlfriend with me did said counter boy approach me with enthusiasm and offering as much help as I needed...so what we learn here is if and only if you are in attendance with a good looking person or are a good looking person dude behind the desk will be more motived to help.so that was pretty lame. have decent prices and instruments get two star

This is a really nice store with very knowledgeable staff. Our grandson has a great piano teacher. Her name is Jenna and she is fantastic! She is great with kids and sharing her love of music is her passion.
This place absolutely rocks! The couple that run it are so down to earth and cool! They have an amazing selection of guitars, amps, pedals, you name it. I personally own a Conrad Jackson guitar purchased from this location, and it honestly plays and sounds better than my Gibson SG. Keep up the great work guys!
I take piano lessons with Jenna Laman and my experience with Modern Day Music is that it is a wonderful, well-organized place that offers affordable music lessons in a range of instruments. The teachers there are really flexible about letting you choose what kind of music you want to learn, and what teaching style best fits each individual.
It's a small store, keep that in mind, but they have everything a small music store should have, plus repairs & lessons. Lots of used instruments, but that always have some cool stuff.

My 11 yr old son has been in weekly piano lessons with Jenna Laman for over a year, we couldn't be happier. Jenna focuses on the student interest - asks them to pick their favorite song and will help them learn how to play. She is positive, encouraging, low pressure and runs her lessons on time.

My daughter started taking voice lessons with Jenna and is now taking voice and piano lessons. Everyone there is very friendly and knowledgeable. We bought our piano there and they made sure to explain everything to us and help us with all the accessories. They never pressured us to buy the most expensive. Jenna is amazing, she has not only been a teacher but also a motivator and listener for my daughter.
This group of professionals are truly amazing. My daughter started learning piano with Jenna Laman a few years ago and our experience has been nothing but exceptional. Modern Day Music is a wonderful family music store that has everything you need for your beginning music students to the advanced players and performers. I very much enjoyed looking through the selection of fun music books they keep in stock. The prices for quality musical instruments are very reasonable!
