Missouri River Regional Library: Providing Excellence in Educational, Informational, Cultural and Recreational Enrichment

Missouri River Regional Library (MRRL) is a public library system that serves the residents of Cole and Osage counties in Missouri. The library system was established in 1960 and has since then been committed to providing excellence in educational, informational, cultural, and recreational enrichment to all members of the community.

The MRRL has a total of six branches located across Cole and Osage counties. These branches are strategically located to ensure that every resident within the two counties can access library services with ease. The six branches include:

1. Jefferson City Branch
2. Bookmobile
3. Linn Branch
4. St Elizabeth Branch
5. Henley Branch
6. Osage County Outreach

The Jefferson City branch is the main branch of MRRL and is located at 214 Adams Street in Jefferson City, Missouri.

Services Offered by Missouri River Regional Library

MRRL offers a wide range of services to its patrons including:

1. Access to books: Patrons can borrow books from any of the six branches or request for interlibrary loans if they cannot find what they are looking for within MRRL's collection.

2. Access to digital resources: Patrons can access digital resources such as eBooks, eAudiobooks, eMagazines through Overdrive/Libby or RBdigital platforms.

3. Computer access: All branches have computers available for public use with internet access.

4. Wi-Fi access: All branches offer free Wi-Fi internet connection for patrons who bring their own devices.

5. Printing/copying/faxing/scanning services: Patrons can print documents or make copies at any branch using self-service machines or request assistance from staff members if needed.

6.Interlibrary loan service- If you cannot find what you are looking for within MRRL's collection then you may request an interlibrary loan which will allow you to borrow materials from other libraries outside our network.


7.Programs/events- The library hosts various programs throughout the year including storytimes for children, book clubs for adults as well as workshops on various topics such as technology skills training etc.


8.Reference Services- Our reference librarians are always available during business hours ready to assist patrons with research questions.


9.Homebound Delivery Service - This service provides home delivery service free-of-charge on a monthly basis so that those who cannot visit our physical locations due to health reasons still have access to reading materials.
