Mississippi Valley State University (MVSU) is a public university located in Itta Bena, Mississippi. The university was founded in 1950 and has since been providing undergraduate, graduate, and public service programs for the people of Mississippi. MVSU is a member of the Thurgood Marshall College Fund and offers over 50 degree programs across five colleges.
The campus of MVSU spans over 450 acres and includes state-of-the-art facilities such as the W.A. Butts Social Science Building, which houses classrooms, computer labs, and faculty offices. The campus also features a library with over 200,000 volumes of books and electronic resources.
