Mission to the World: Making Disciples of All Nations
Mission to the World (MTW) is a non-profit organization that exists to make disciples of all nations by planting and revitalizing church-related ministries around the world. With a vision to see people from every tribe, tongue, and nation come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, MTW has been working tirelessly for over 50 years in various parts of the world.
The organization was founded in 1973 by a group of pastors who were passionate about spreading the gospel beyond their local communities. They saw a need for more intentional efforts towards global evangelism and decided to form an organization that would focus on reaching people in other parts of the world with the message of salvation.
Since then, MTW has grown into one of the largest mission organizations in North America with over 700 missionaries serving in more than 90 countries around the world. The organization partners with local churches and leaders to plant new churches, train pastors and leaders, provide humanitarian aid, and share God's love through various outreach programs.
One of MTW's core values is partnership. The organization believes that effective ministry can only be achieved through collaboration with local churches and leaders who have a deep understanding of their culture and context. By partnering with these individuals, MTW is able to develop sustainable ministries that are rooted in local communities.
MTW also places great emphasis on training its missionaries before they are sent out into the field. Missionaries undergo rigorous theological training as well as cultural sensitivity training so that they can effectively communicate God's love across cultural barriers.
In addition to church planting efforts, MTW also provides humanitarian aid through its relief arm called Disaster Response Services (DRS). DRS responds quickly when natural disasters strike by providing food, shelter, medical care, clean water supplies among other things.
MTW's work has not gone unnoticed; it has received numerous accolades for its commitment towards global evangelism including being named one of America's top-rated charities by Charity Navigator for several years running.
