I would definitely not recommend this law firm whatsoever. Michelle Merson did my initial consultation and convinced me that I needed her help on my case and handled the first hearing and then passed me off to a lawyer named Nicolas Torres who was horrible. I ended up getting arrested and he spoke with me and told me multiple times that he would be coming to visit me or setup a call with me and never came. This happened at least 4 times. I can honestly say that my public defender that was handling another case of mine did more for me in 15 mins than my attorneys did for me over several months. All they will do is put you on what they say is an affordable monthly payment plan and keep asking for continuances which makes it seems as if they are just looking to collect your money and not resolve the case as initially promised. All communication with the lawyer was with my girlfriend and not even myself. There was no bond on the case and I sat in there for 42 days and only spoke with the attorney my first 4 days in. Also the worst most incompetent part is that Mr. Torres filed an emergency motion that took 3 weeks longer than promised for a bond hearing that even if it would have gotten approved was totally irrelevant because the other charge I had there was no bond on. Any lawyer should have known this and even the judge and prosecutor told him that this motion was pointless. Very unorganized and unprofessional. They would appear for me on Zoom hearings and not even follow up with me afterwards to keep me updated on what the status of the case was, however they will call first thing in the morning if your payment doesn t go through for the month. (I updated banking information) To say the least I would never waste my money on this firm again. I will utilize a public defender who once again did more in 15 mins for me that they did in 10 months. DO NOT HIRE!
