Every time I go to this place (for work to help foreign people who do not speak Italian) I am more and more appalled by the low quality of the environments and workers. Incompetence and rudeness reign supreme. The operators at the counters treat you badly for no reason they do not accept requests and / or complaints, it seems that they are there to do you a favor. Despite the health emergency, the place is perpetually full of people with no social distancing, all clinging together and crowded together, they don't even feel the body temperature. To be able to enter you have to crowd together with the other people and you have to hope to have the best to enter first because, despite the appointments that are given, the times are NEVER respected. Queues of 1h and 30 if all goes well and appointments are given months apart (even 3 or 4 months) even if it is a question of bringing only one document.
I believe that it is possible to improve the organization even a little, so it is really a nightmare and Italy makes a bad impression in the eyes of foreigners.

The staff were kind but when I went to renew my stay X MY SON I handed over all the documents, according to them everything was fine but after a few days they called me because I had to pay a 50 euro bill, the question is ... BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T SAY THAT WHEN I WAS THE MATCH, the same thing happened when I made my stay ....... ....

The level of animosity you feel from police is unreal, no guidance, they do not reply to any emails phones calls. You have to stand there for 2 hours with to have 10 second chat with a officer with domineering attitude, shouting at you if you try to talk more. Foreigners who are there to inject money to their economy for short term (like myself) are treated with animosity when asking same question twice. Worse, my parents have annually been importing from Italy for decades, and they get the same treatment, only after they see the balance, their attitude change lol. Everything is slow because of police officers chitchatting, no one speaks English despite of being immigration office when there are unnecessarily many officers inside lol. They are tax robbing pigs really, the least thing they can do is to have professional tone but even the guide at the front door starts sneering when someone comes to bother her tranquil time. No wonder why the country's economy is crumbling when taxes are so high, if Como station is so underdeveloped, can't imagine others. I feel really bad for Italians, police is real cancer here.

This afternoon my wife and I were enjoying a delightful time at an outdoor restaurant in the Duomo Piazza called Caffe Duomo while listening to a violinist and guitar player who were also selling their CD named La Musica nel vento. Their music was incredibly beautiful and everyone in the piazza was visibly captivated by every song they played. Suddenly three polizia locale officers showed up on their motorcycles and had a private chat with the musicians. They filled out a report and then left. Within five minutes the musicians stopped playing and began packing up their instruments. I walked up to the musicians and asked why they stopped playing. They said the police told them their music was too loud and they had to stop. Within a few minutes another group of musicians began playing 100 feet away and their music was much louder and so very amateurish. The mood of people in the piazza changed dramatically as they left the area in droves. It was obvious to everyone present that the police wanted the violinist and guitarist to leave so the amateurs could play. I m a 32-year law enforcement officer from the United States and I can smell the stench of corruption from a mile away. Clearly the amateurs made a contribution to the officers and/or their department to shoo away the competition. It felt like we were in Mexico where such sleazy tactics are commonplace. Congratulations Como Police, you put the pleasure of tourists and the profit of your city s businesses behind the immediate gratification of cash in your pockets. Sleazy and disgusting. Needless to say, we will never return!
