Mineral Point School District is one of the oldest publicly supported schools in Wisconsin, with a rich history dating back to 1851. Located in the heart of a small community, Mineral Point School District has been providing quality education to students for over 150 years. The Mineral Point School District serves approximately 900 students from pre-kindergarten through grade 12. The district consists of four schools: Mineral Point Elementary School, Mineral Point Middle School, Mineral Point High School, and an alternative high school program called Bridges. Each school provides unique opportunities for students to learn and grow academically, socially, and emotionally.
Mineral Point Elementary School serves students from pre-kindergarten through grade five. The school offers a comprehensive curriculum that includes language arts, math, science, social studies, art, music, physical education (PE), technology education (TE), library media skills (LMS), and Spanish instruction. Students also have access to special programs such as gifted and talented services (GTS) and English Language Learner (ELL) support.
Mineral Point Middle School serves students in grades six through eight. The school provides an engaging curriculum that prepares students for high school while fostering their intellectual curiosity and creativity. Students take core classes such as language arts, math science social studies along with elective courses like art music PE TE LMS Spanish GTS ELL etc.
Mineral Point High School offers rigorous academic programs that prepare its graduates for college or career success after graduation. Students can choose from various courses including Advanced Placement (AP) classes which provide college-level coursework while still in high school; Career & Technical Education (CTE) courses which offer hands-on training in fields like agriculture business health care information technology manufacturing etc.; fine arts programs like band choir drama visual arts etc.; and athletics programs like football basketball volleyball wrestling track & field cross country etc.
Bridges is an alternative high school program that provides a supportive learning environment for students who may have struggled in traditional high school settings. The program offers flexible scheduling, individualized instruction, and personalized support to help students achieve their academic goals.
